Widespread Google meltdown

Have you noticed that on this page (which carries AdSense), there are no ads since this morning. Just checked at other forums and what I noticed this morning (East coast time on Sept 26, 2006) is fairly widespread. I am reporting from Boston area (noon) and cannot use google or gmail or adsense or google news and all my websites that carry AdSense are taking forever to load due to Adsense problems.

Please check in your area and please respond only if you see a problem. No need to post if all looks OK.

I am in Baltimore and i am seeing major problems with most google sites and adsense ads appearing on sites. I saw a blurb on Cnet that said the problem is specific to certain ISPs. I am using Comcast.

Thanks homeofficeblues. I am also using Comcast. Spoke to their customer service staff but they don't understand the problem. It is kind of weird to tell these (not-so-technically) competent folks that I can go to most websites but not to some. The woman says, "So I see no problem if you have a live connection to the web!"

The question is if it is a Google problem or a network problem.

Seems to be related to Comcast. In addition to adsense ads problems, I haven't even been able to load the google.com homepage.

The reason is that I was logged in to my google account permanently via cookie. Once I delete the cookies, I can view the homepage.

Now I can't do anything that goes near account authentication (gmail, adwords, adsense, gmail, etc.)

I could not login to Adsense Adwords or Analytics for most of the day and it does not seem to be ISP-related.

It is 3:11p.m. CST and I can get in now, but my Analytics is stuck at the first hour of the day and is not showing the rest of the info. It is usually lagging behind like 3-4 hours but it is now 14 hours behind on the stats.

Adsense is not by much more current ether... maybe lagging 11-12 hours or so.

Edit>> It is now 4:36 CST and I just saw 3 hours worth of stats appear on the Analytics. Interestingly enouph the Analytics is missing 6 hours (1am-7am) data. It is just simply flat... My server logs very much disagree.

All is normal now for me. While I couldn't see any ads on any of my websites till 5 PM - but when I checked the adsense stats, it is slightly better than most days. So either I am getting a big jump in traffic or the problem was very localized to some computers. Weird though!
