Logo/Cartoon Contest | $25 | 72 hours | Detailed Feedback Given!!!

Hi guys.

I'm launching a new site soon that's gonna need a logo. The site is b-r-a-i-n-b-i-t-e.com (remove the '-')

I'm looking for something that really jumps off the page, and my idea was to have a cartoon brain with bite marks. Then, from those bitemarks, dollar notes would be falling out. That's just a suggestion though, it's up to you!

Basically I need something that combines 'brain' and 'money'. Use your imagination!

The logo also needs to contain the website URL somewhere. (not on the brain though)

The prize money will be $25, and will be paid through Paypal.

All submissions must be made in the thread! Feel free to watermark your work, but it has to be in the thread.

Contest will end in 72 hours from this post.

My feedback:
First entry is the best in my opinion, but neither of them are really what I'm looking for. They look amazing, but I was looking for something a bit more flat. Maybe just make the brain from a side on angle and then have bite marks. I'm just not too keen on the idea of having a whole body.

Also, I'm not digging the text. Needs something a bit more sleek in my opinion

Hope to see another entry from you as those designs look really nice, just not quite the style i was going for

I still think it needs to be more side on though. I had an idea that the brain would just be flat, with notes sticking out of the bit mark. Also, I'd prefer it if the brain was pink and the money was coming out the right hand side

logorice... I really like the direction that this one's going in. Maybe make it a bit more obvious that it's a brain, but other than that it looks awesome.

a4hire. Very nice, you've basically done what I wanted, but I need it more cartoony. Also, could you make the dollar notes so there were fewer and they were actually sticking out the brain (so you can only see half or so) rather than flying out.

Feedback time...

l3fty - I wasn't really looking for a character, but I do love the way you've made the text. Still, I'm not too keen on the character and I'd prefer to just see a normal brain.

a4hire - The first one there looks good, but I think it still needs to look more 'cartoony'. The brain looks very realistic, and the dollar notes are too square. For the notes, try making the edges a little less straight (only a little bit though).

otakatun - Sorry, I'm not really liking that. The idea is good, but I'm not too sure on the way the brain or the money looks.


So that everyone knows, my favourite so far is logorice. It's simple, and fills the brief pretty well. It does need a bit of work doing to it though (see my feedback). I'm telling you this so that you know the sort of style I prefer... that said, I'm still open to your imagination!
