Character/Mascot Contest | 3 days | $35 | Detailed Feedback Given!!!

Hi guys.

Before I start, I'd like to point you in the direction of my last contest, here. As you can see, it was very successful and I received a lot of great entries. I just want to make it clear I will give detailed feedback on every entry, as I know how frustrating it is to work for someone who's arrogant and doesn't reply.

Anyway, to the contest...

I'm setting up a new site, and I need a character/mascot made. This mascot will be me (pic below), but I need to be in a suit. Basically, I need something that will signify a teenager who makes a good amount of money online.

You can find a picture of me here. As a note, this is when I was in China so I was very sunburnt. My face isn't usually that red, so please take note of that when you design

I like that attitude of put up or shut up. We should start adapting this into all of our contests.

Aderain... Thanks for kicking us off with the first entry.

Feedback wise, the second one is much better. I must say though, I was looking for a full body character rather than an item such as a table. Thinking about it, maybe me in a suit walking along while holding a briefcase stuffed with money? Sorry, just thinking aloud now

So, yeah, back to your entry... ditch the table/laptop and work on the actual mascot. The second entry looks a lot more like me. Sorry but I'm struggling to think of other feedback until I can see the full thing. Once again, thanks for your entry.


Shawn & Aderain. I know ben (lolage) in real life, so he'll know what I really look like. Based on that picture you're doing a fantastic job, but I've uploaded another picture of me that was taken last night, head on portrait picture. You should really be able to get a good idea of what I look like. I've spoken to Ben and he didn't mean to criticise, but because he's met me in real life he knows exactly how I really look, if you get what I mean?

Radu, i have been looking at alot of your work recently in other contests. I am really blown away with your style of design, especially in templates. I will probably be PM'ing you in the future with design work.

Creations4you. Sorry, it's not really what I'm looking for. It's too flat for my liking and it doesn't really look anything like me... sorry

l3fty. Really cool entry, looks great I really like the guy, looks great, but I'm not too sure on the laptop and the star behind it. I was thinking about having a full suit and a briefcase with money in or something like that, so if you could do that it'd be awesome. Also, the eyes look kind of weird, just not very realistic (don't want them to look like a picture, just a bit better). Other than that it's great... really like the suit

Radu. Great artwork, but it's not really what I'm looking for. The guy doesn't really look anything like me and the suit would look better on someone older. Remember I'm a teenager, so the site is aimed at a teen-early 20 audience.

akdelic. Amazing work! Sadly, I don't have a car as I'm not old enough to drive, and the guy doesn't really look like me . That said, I'd love to see some more entries as you're clearly very capable. Could you try doing it without the car, standing up with a briefcase or something like that instead? But, yeah, great work
