A better way to create landing pages (and increase your conversion rate)

Imagine a drawing tool that lets you easily sketch out a concept for a new webpage design, and then, when you're done, takes that sketch and automatically turns it into a real, functioning website.

I'm the founder of a company that's been working towards that vision, and we're launching our tool right NOW!

For those of you who are outsourcing the development of your landing pages, this is a great way to either do it yourself, or bring it in-house.
Siteswish pages are fully customizable, created from the ground-up, no templates involved.

Its a faster way to create great looking landing pages than going manual with html, css and photoshop, so you can create a bunch of different designs for your landing pages, and test to see which convert best.
A/B testing with varied text and images is important, but I'll bet you can take it to a whole new level when you're able to easily adjust the design and layout as well.

Creating and publishing pages is FREE, so if you're in need of landing pages, or looking for a better way to construct them, check out www.siteswish.com.

You can run Siteswish in your browser (need to download the desktop version if/when you're ready to publish).
On the site there are also few example pages created with Siteswish, and a short slide presentation demonstrating it in action.

I'd love to hear some feedback from DPers, so if you check it out, please post your thoughts here.
It would also be cool if you included a link to a page you created!

    EDIT:
A couple of example pages (see the html renditions at www.siteswish.com)

    Ben,

All i can say is WOW. Good stuff. I know its kinda basic but as a PPC marketer, I always keep my pages simple and clean. The more clean your pages it helps in higher conversion, not too much distraction and users are focused on ur offer.

I am going to download ur tool tonight and test out. I build my own landing pages coz i think my ideas can't be duplicated by others :D I do everything on my own and it will be great for people who are like me.

Thanks again for this wonderful bit. There are many landing page software all paid and freebie hunters will be jumping on this so ensure ur server works fine :D

    Good luck

    Godmode,

    Thanks for the kind words!

We're running a dedicated quad-core server, and we can upgrade to something larger within an hour, if needed, so we're prepared :D

Good luck testing it out tonight, and be sure to let me know how you find it :)

The main reason we built this was to help people save time, so it should help you there.
We'll also be adding improvements as we go along to help make it even faster :)

The concept is interesting. But then how is this different from a web page designer.
Correct me if I am wrong. but I felt that using it online was bit difficult.

Not sure if the tool already provides the same, but ready made drag and drop CTA images OR name squeeze forms would really help in creating the LP's

    bigbtheking,
    Thanks :)

    shrkscn,

Well, it definitely is a web page design tool (right in the tag-line!).
How many other web page designers have your tried?
Most of them don't really let you 'design', rather they give you pre-made templated designs, and let you add content.
Siteswish doesn't use templates at all, you get to design the whole site to look however you want it to look.

There is a small learning curve, but nothing like having to learn html/css and deal with all the cross-browser issue that come up (Siteswish takes care of these for you).

Help with CTA images and name squeeze forms are good ideas. We have a lot of things we'd like to add as we continue development. You can still create you own images and forms and use them within Siteswish, however. Wufoo has a really easy way to make forms.

And also an update, we now have an affiliate program:

I've tried the test drive option. Let me give you a constructive criticism.

1.) People who edit their website/webpage using a web browser will get mad when something goes wrong with their browser or their internet connection is slow.

2.) Loading time was slow. Can you make it load faster?

3.) Learning curve could be between 1-3 days if you never seen a web design tool before.

4.) another What you see what you get web tool

    5.) Not bad

6.) Had some trouble finding my way to go back to the main menu

7.) I had to accept the truth

It was a nice experience. Good job!

    webarmy,

Thanks for taking a look and offering your feedback.

1&2) Its true that its a little slow to load. Its a full software application, rather than a simple website, so unfortunately the file size is a little large. But the idea is that you'll check it out on the web, and then download the desktop version if your really want to play around with it.

    3) There is a bit of a learning curve, but how long would it take to learn HTML/CSS if you'd never seen a web design tool? Weeks or months, rather than just days. Compared to something like Dreamweaver, its also a lot simpler. I like to think of it like a good video game. It might take a bit to get the hang of it, but its nothing like learning to fly an airplane or engineer a rocket, and its totally worth it.

    4) The key difference from most other WYSIWYG tools is that you have full control over the design, rather than just partially customizing a pre-made template. Unless you up-size to something like Dreamweaver. Then you have a whole lot of complexity to deal with and too many options.

    7) What's the 'truth'? That it costs money? We've just dropped the price significantly (see the update below), so that will help. You CAN create sites for free with the demo version, its just a lot more tedious if you want to go back and make changes later.

    UPDATE:

I've just released version 1.0, and dropped the price from $199 to $99 to make it affordable to a greater number of people.

In additional, to celebrate the release of v1.0, I'm running a HALF PRICE special. For today only, its just $49!

So take advantage of it while you can!

(note: the demo version is still free, of course, and you can do quiet a lot with it)
