Paypal activity and the directory review that never happened. Some of you may remember my post a short while ago about IAQD taking our money and disappearing. There was no contact from him after payment regarding a review. Well I done a Paypal chargeback and these are the messages: Total Messages: 3 From Buyer: Vic Christod on 21/10/2007 17:16 BST I paid for a service which was supposed to be a maximum 7 day review and listing on the sellers site which was found at the thread listed http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=491688. I cannot contact him from the forum and appears this guy has been banned and just taken my money. I do not wish for the service to be given now as it is well overdue and would like a full refund. From Seller: Mike Donovan on 03/11/2007 14:52 GMT As I stated in the site and all posts, nothing is guaranteed. If you're site doesn't get accepted- you will not receive your money back. Thanks Mike From Seller: Mike Donovan on 03/11/2007 14:54 GMT Your site was rejected. Yes I was banned because I pissed off a mod- I'll be reinstated Dec. 1st. I didn't take your money and run, I've just been overwhelmingly busy and havent had time to continue with the site but your site was rejected- sorry. Somebody please answer truthfully. would you accept our directory or reject it if it were submitted to your directory. I will not take offence either way. .
Not sure about your site mate, BUT if the owner does NOT have time enough for the association! [correct me if im wrong] just confirms this is just another normal site, and just not worth associating yourself to. Just my 2c M.
I was weary of this site when i first saw it now i can see i was right to be like that. Only 6 directories listed out of the 100's of greats. Nice pitch but smells of qbc...
What scares me most is this guy believes and has the cheek to think he should return here to do business with legitimate directory owners.
I am sorry that it happened to you, but I think if it's anyones fault its your own, how could you trust a low life webmaster like him self? I made several posts regarding that so called "project" of his. Now contact godaddy with all the info you have and ask them to suspend the domain till a refund is received. If you provide the right info and do it in the right manner, they will be more then happy to suspend it.
Did you do a chargeback with your CC company or just opened a dispute... Looks like a dispute to me. As far as I know, there is no communication with buyers and sellers during an actual chargeback. Paypal has idiots running it by the way...
Why don't you ask him to clarify. Demand that he tells you the exact reason why your directory was rejected. If you can, make the claim as unothorized transaction. Some spammers in the past (tonerboss for example) got their money back that way from a lot of directories, otherwise you will probably lose the dispute.
Boogles the mind, I thought this idea was good and he seemed quite motivated. I don't know why he would completely ruin his reputation over $20
This has now been escalated so it is in the hands of Paypal. My final message sent is as follows: --------------------------------------------- In submitting to the sellers site, he was supposed to review and accept or reject. There was no further communication or contact from the seller stating anything had happened. The seller disappeared from the forum without trace and any response. There was no reason at all for the seller to so called 'reject our site' as it highly regarded and professional. However professional our site is, this is not the case here. No review had or has taken place as far as we are concerned and if this is the case we ask for the seller to bring forward the proof of this and the communication that the seller should have with us.
