What a lie! What a bunch of crap! These bush worshippers are willing to do anything to justify this invasion. Those 500 shells that were found were old shells with degraded mustard gas and had already been reported to the UN when saddam was in power. http://www.wzzm13.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=56577 http://www.alternet.org/waroniraq/38011/ Keep getting your news from Fox News. *I'm not spinning anything here, just watching our military officials and politicians talk here. There having a 'Iraq weapon of Mass Destruction' talk in the House Armed Service Committe on Cspan. Open and closed. Defence Intelligience Agency LT General Michael Maples (Director) Col John Chiu (Commander) Both are saying if dealt with correctly the chemicals are deadly. Lt General Michael when asked if he thinks Iraq is WMD free, he said 'I would not say'. Lt General Michael says Saddam's accountability and weapons destruction was poor. He assess they're pre-gulf weapons, but he can't absolutely assert all are ie it's an assessment. He consider them WMD's. Durning closed session they're talk about purity and toxicity. They have not fully disclosed all of the information on such, because they deem it a 'danger to the soldiers'...whatever exactly that means. Michael asked if used in city would it be a concern, 'yes, if put together correctly it could deadly....and could potentially have a large impact, and could be packaged in a way that would have a large impact.' I'll continue to watch, it's a bit interesting. Personally I'm not trying to make a determination, but there seems to be some sort of interest shown by the military officials that they're not just nothing...and they're worth concerning. We'll see, though. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- addition In closed session Michael Maples will speak about assessment that they are most likely more to be found. He says he can't speak of the methods and means in public.
Thanks for the update Rick. I don't normally watch c-span, but just switched over the last bit of "A Team" to see it.
Sleuth channel is awesome! 2 A Teams, 2 Knight Riders, and 2 Simon & Simons on saturday morning. Its almost too much
I'm still watching it Rick. Thanks very much for the heads up. I was glad someone raised the issue that the pali's had claimed to have fired a chemical round into Israel in the last 48 hours.
Maple said that there's still an classified report of more weapons 'he said roughly 500 more'. Although he said he'd clarify more of that in closed session. A lot of people claim Saddam didn't know, while Maples is saying he doesn't know any information to clarify if he did or did not. I'm more apt to believe a military official than a media source...just my opinion. I heard of the chemical thing in Israel. I'm not sure of it's standing, yet. I'm sure lots of people will look into it. One thing to note is the amount used in Japan...1 liter of sarin (not really sophicately used), which killed 14 people, I believe, and sent a thousand or so people to hospitals. Not much at all to hurt a lot of people.
