Usually i can only fall asleep if im really tired. If i ever need to go to bed a few hours earlier for a busy day tomorrow or anything i always have problems trying to go to bed. i kick and turn, roll around and cant seem to fall asleep. so since school started a few weeks a go i would like to get some more sleep each night. so my question is, do any of you take sleep pills to go to bed at night? or do you know of any?

    Thanks!

Don't take pills to help you sleep. Just read. It's the best sleeping remedy you'll ever need. Plus, it's educational and/or fun, depending on what you read.

On another note, it's now 07:12 here in London. I'm still on my PC, talking to people in forums! I had better get to bed . . .

    Sweet dreams to all.

Blue light which is emitted from devices such as computer screens and televisions stimulate your brain making it believe it is day time and therefore keeps you in a wakeful state. Though I do not even follow this advice, it would help to stay off these for three hours before going to sleep.

When I need to go to sleep, I take L-Tryptophan, an OTC sleep aid, on an empty stomach about 45 minutes before I need to sleep.

I normally try study my books if I'm all agitated and cant sleep. Normally my eyes begin to close after a bit. Do you exercise every day? That will help a lot.

I wouldn't get into taking sleeping pills each day. People I know who take them can't sleep anymore without them and they have to keep increasing the doses. Besides it's a pretty nasty drug to take every night.

How long you will take sleeping pills man? So the best idea is i think meditation (learn it) or some sort of "art of living" technique. try to get peace of mind and stop thinking. If you have to think you should think about your dreams in life which is going ti be sweet.

Sleeping pills are bad news. When I have trouble sleeping, I listen to Brain Sync on my iPod and I'm asleep within 10 mins - WITHOUT FAIL. I don't know if it's a placebo response, but it works for me.

I get sleepy when I am very bored and no work.. and sometimes when its too late like 3pm. But never took pills. Sometime it gets so hard and i have to work when I am half awake.... and believe, when I write something in that time... and when I check it later.... it completely blows my mind.... :D

    Sleeping Bills are Dangerous

To me, I don't sleep on exam days, or when I really have some work that I MUST do now.

Other than that, I sleep as good as it can be, 6-8 hours on the Good Days (Free ones)

don't be dependent on sleeping pills cause it's dangerous to your help
try some old school ways like drinking a hot glass of milk or counting imaginary sheep until you fall asleep
