ZuneUser.com - Nearly 900 Uniques per day - ACTIVE FORUM - $$Revenue$$

    Microsoft Zune related site www.ZuneUser.com

Site shows average 881 uniques per day.

    This site is DMOZ listed.

I converted this site from a blog to a forum and it gets registrations daily. The domain is aged. Been online since June of 2006 as a blog but just recently started SEOing it and getting links in December.

    Revenue
Site has made $34 so far this month. Expecting that to jump substantially and here's why..... I have been SEOing the heck out of this site getting links any and everywhere I can. I even have links pointing to the site from industry insiders like ZuneGuy.com. Most of the top Zune blogs point to ZuneUser.com as an affiliate or resource and I have quite a few scraper sites owners syndicating the content and linking back to the site as well. I also submit all the hottest news stories to digg.com.

What does all that mean? Well there's only 1 true competitor in this market and that's zunescene.com. Know why they are #1 right now? Because they rank #1 in Google for Zune!!! We rank #40 in Google and #5 in Yahoo! and are climbing weekly. We get a lot of traffic from Yahoo So just imagine the success we will have once the site hits the top 10 in Google. Buy this site now before it becomes worth A LOT MORE!

Selling Points (other than the HUGE potential :))

    - Custom ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE Skin design. (check out the postbit)

    - vBSEO (vBSEO license included in this sale)

    - GARS Articles & Product Reviews System (License included in this sale)

    - Tons of user friendly Mods!!
    • MySpace Style user profiles WITH COMMENTS (Profile Comments system is NOT free. You have to pay for it)
    • iBProarcade.
    • Blog & Ping System (whenever you post in the blog section it pings a large list of services just like real blogs)
    • Mood Manager (members love it)
    • AutoPM when add buddy (So people know when someone adds them to their profile)
    • vBadvanced CMS
    • NoSpam (asks a question instead of captcha. Spam bot signups have stopped!)
    • And a lot more.... literally.

Site also comes with free ad banners:

    Starting bid is $1000.

Don't really have a BIN in mind yet as I just decided to sell in order to fund a larger project. I will post a BIN shortly but feel free to make offers. Feel free to make me a decent BIN offer above the min bid.

    Hi guys.

The minimum bid is $1000 not $100.

$100 wouldn't even buy you the vBSEO license which is included in this sale. It wouldn't buy you a custom skin (which run $400 to $500 low end) and it wouldn't even cover 3 month's revenue. Not to mention the other paid items that will come with the sale I mentioned above.

As for the traffic, yes that is correct. Apparently I'm doing something wrong because the members aren't signing up and posting. Part of the problem is I I barely post on there myself. The site just sits there. If you made it active by posting yourself.

I have no problem PMing you a link to LIVE stats. Nothing to hide here. The traffic is there and you can see the referrers and all match up.

I bid $100 if all other offers fall through,

its sounds as if you're trying to create a value which really isn't there.

$34 for the month on the 29th of January = $340 BIN maybe

It has no value of $1000 that is for sure.
Revenue x 18 months is the most you get ever paid for it, that equals to $612.
Assuming, site doesn't die out in the next 18 months.
That you had to pay for vbSeo that much to create only $34/month, I don't think it matters that much.
But still I wonder, how can you have 800-900 uniques and have 4 posts a day?
    I have 1000 uniques a day at www.goldenretrieverforum.com, but 300-500 posts a day. Weird.
It makes me think, if that traffic isn't somehow generated or bought...
Can we see stats, demography of your users? How many of them come from search engines and so...?
If you can prove search engine traffic generating at least 600 of your 800 users a day, I will offer a BIN of $500

Thanks for all the reviews. I'll make this easier for you.

I will type in bold letters that I will not accept bids under the minimum bid.

I just listed for you 3 things alone about the site worth over $100 each and I unfortunately won't be checking this thread daily to give site valuation 101 classes. There's frankly no reason for me to send anything to people who have already stated they will bid less than the cost of a vbulletin license.

Again, no rush to sell here. Looking for serious bidders only and I will gladly send a link to live stats to them. I've got the site valuation part covered but thanks for your help. Sale ends Friday.

It is disappointing that this section is becoming less and less valuable to sellers.

People are so cheap these days. Go to ebay if you want to buy a site for less than $100 like this....oh yeah, you can't.

Good luck with your sale GeorgeB. It's a very nice site.

    Thanks Nick.

Do any of you folks out there have an established forum with daily registrations a custom design, vbseo, GARS, myspace profiles, and nearly 900 uniques per day for sale for $100? I'll buy 10 :D

I think you guys are making the mistake of using formulas in a vacuum. If someone spent $160 on a vbulletin license, spent $100 on a nice custom design and wanted to sell it a week after launch, what would you do? Value the site at a "generous" 20 times monthly revenue and price it at $20 at best? That's ridiculous.

What goes on here all the time that rubs people the wrong way is how many try to create value with marketingspeak. They overhype their sites to the point of absurdity using the "greed factor" advice they got in some cheap e-book. They also think that their hours of sweat labor is worth a lot, even though others may think it was unnecessary.

That doesn't take away the value of the assets, at the very least. That said, do I think a $1,000 starting bid is overhyped? The proof is that a site is valued at what a fair market is willing to pay for it and to some extent a market (that is looking to bargain you down) also recognizes that your site needs some work too, even though you've put in sweat hours.

Kudos on your hard work and a nice looking site. If you can sell it for your price, great. I just piped in knowing how you feel and was potentially interested in the site although not at that price, which is a starting point. Good luck to you.

Good points. Would you agree that if you skip all the sales-speak at the beginning and start at the "Selling Points" section and go from there the $100 bids were a bit insulting?

Then you add on the traffic and content... well you get the point.
