Zune is launched!!! (bye bye iPod?)

Don't buy a zune! Apple is coming out with a new ipod soon with a bigger screen. The zune won't support iTunes as well as many other formats.

 

i already got my ZUNE i paid for overnight shipping! i will put up a little review when i have really had time to play with it!

i bought a black zune and i really like. Battery life is not as good as I hoped and under the advertised time. I've been getting 10 hours in real time use with about a 2 hour full charge time. It sounds great and its pretty tough also. Its not big, clunky or ugly at all. The screen is only half an inch larger but it looks HUGE when compared to the iPod. The screen does look brighter when I held them side by side but the iPod was old and possibly not as bright. From where you got to know that .. they are now having 5th generation ipod i.e. the 30gb & 80gb ones .. 6th generation also coming soon ?

 

I would doubt that Zune will be able to compete with iPod.

 

I`ll wait for product reviews before decide to purchase it

 

is it true that ipod broke too fast?
I was big fan of ipod but one day i got a forum that a loooot of people complain about ipod :|

 

You can still be a true hardcore iPod fan.
iPod will stay forever coz it still rocks!
Zune has a lot to do to come upto the level where iPod currently is

nah ... the latest Ipods < no nanos > are the 5th Generation ones . nevermind .. we are going kinda off-topic ..lol.. at the end .. Ipod still rockz and it will be tough for Zune to give a fight to ipod .

 

Regardless of how you may feel about the company, MS demonstrated with the Xbox that they can successfully compete in the consumer electronics arena. The Zune is a nice looking device and will certainly improve with subsequent releases.

If MS can streamline the Zune software and improve its online service, I believe MS will certainly give Apple a run for its money in this space.
