Zippo Lighter Store (Dropship) For Sale

Discussion in 'Sites' started by stickman373, Sep 2, 2005.

I recently purchased this site in hopes to make some $$$ off of it, but honestly I'm going away to school in a few days and havent had the time or full knowledge to promote such a site.

    http://www.zippopro.com/

Before I bought it I know the owner had sold a few zippo lighters on ebay as well as a few orders through the store. Since I've bought it, I havent had the time to do any promotion, but I did get it setup and added to Froogle (google's shopping guide).

So basically its a store dedicated to selling zippo lighters which are a pretty popular item judging from ebay listings and general searching around. I have all the dropshipper information and the account with them is free so it wont be a problem for you to keep the store around and the products available.

Thats basically all the information, if you need anymore info just ask.

Starting price will be $99 with a BIN of $300.

    Thanks.

    Who does fulfillment?

What's the margin on each sale?

Do you set the prices or are they set by your fulfillment company?

You say you acharge 4.95 for shipping - how much doesn actual shipping cost you?

Who process that CC transactions? You or fulfillment company?

Who hosts the site? Designed it? Who takes care of web issues? What the hosting cost?

    Inquiring minds want to know.....

You get about a 25% markup on each lighter price so that would be the profit.

The prices can be set to whatever you want, easily adjustable through oscommerce. Fufillment company does not control prices.

$4.95 is what it costs the fufillment company to send the lighters nationwide so that is what I charge.

credit cards are done through paypal currently, but oscommerce can accept many gateways.

The new owner would take on the site hosting, design and web issues. Currently I do all this.

    Thanks

$7 a month i think, though it doesnt use much in terms of bandwidth so most plans would work for the site.

    What drives the back-end?

    Is it a custom script?

How easy is it to work with?

the backend is OScommerce, which is a pretty typical well known script. Very easy to use.

Yeah its the same as the previous owner

Would you mind to reveal the sale for last month? Maybe just a rough figure?

By the way, the design is simple and nice.
