depends from advertiser to advertiser. many see 20% conversion in first days then lower than %5. it's a shady world ( email/zip submits), publishers usually get screwed, many leads are not counted.

I'm curious because I am getting a very crappy conversion rate with a zip submit campaign at RocketProfit. I recently did an email submit campaign at CX (incentaclick) which is actually doing about 4X better than the zip. One would think I would get better conversion rates with a zip submit than an email submit.

I wonder if there is some sort of conversion reporting lag time I need to be patient with.

There's a study somewhere by a marketing firm that tested zip submit conversions. It found that 75% (I think was the number, it was high though, at least 70%) filled in the zip code field. No one ever sees that kind of conversions.

I'm at 1% right now. I think there's something wrong. The exact same traffic was doing over 8% with a similar email submit. maybe the tracking is not working? Or we may be seeing the end of the zip submits as clickers are getting wise to what's involved to actually get your prize.

That sucks too because I was getting into the 6 cents per click range today.

At 6 cents/click you could do very well with even a 5% conversion.

I got out of zip/email submits. They are way too frustrating. In the time you can spend trying to master them, you can enter into a more sustainable niche.

AJ: You echo my exact sentiments. I have come to that decision today. It pleases me to know that my line of thinking is starting to parallel those that are more successful.

If anything, the email/zip offers have been one more step in my education of how to manipulate Adwords.

Yep, that's all they are good for. I was in the zip/email submit game about 4-5 months ago. Wasn't worth it.

I guess the only people that will know this for exact are the networks that offer them. How much conversions to click ratio you will receive though depends on how you go about working with them, advertising them, etc.

Just signed up with Hydra. It seems I am not getting paid for my zip/email submits with neverblue, copeac and rocketprofit. why would that be? I see there are clicks, and some people have even tested, but no conversion. Strange.

Same here, maybe they click it but get turned off when asked to enter their email to submit?

Zip submits are definitely very shady. My friend was getting frustrated with a 2% conversion for a zip submit he was running on his site. He was getting so frustrated that he asked me to test it out for him. I clicked the banner, got to the landing page, and entered in my zip code, and waited for the next page to fully load so there would be plenty of time for all the tracking pixels to fire.

Guess what? He DID NOT get his commission. Definitely something shady going on. Either the advertiser is lying, or the network is lying. I'm not sure which one is at fault here.

I think that advertisers has more reasons for lying then network, because they spend their own money:)

lots of zip submits are 2-3 years old so it is very possible people that people are entering zips that have already been counted for. Most zip offers say "pay out on each unique zip submit". for e-mails they could have statistical backing that X% of people will enter a fake e-mail so they don't count that % of your leads. I don't know just something to that came to mind.
