ZIP site, custom coded.

The script running this site is custom coded.
It displays several records per page.
Every record has its own mod_rewrite link for search engine friendliness.
Each zip page has its own custom title again for search engine friendliness, and has feeds related to its city,state to keep it up to date.

The pages are non-supplemental as seen from above.
These pages are the second level ones (i.e. the page-*.html) which are linked from the main page.

Google is actively indexing the third level ones zip-*.html (will take some time as these zips go up to 80k numbers).

It also has a search module that allows direct search for a specific zip.

The site uses includes, the look can easily be changeable on all pages.

Also, the ad code can be changed form a single ad file.

Hmm so this script updates it self with every cities news pretty much?

 

Every zip page has city, state.
That page will fetch news related to that city,state from news feeds. So yes, whenever new news for these terms are there and someone loads that page, the new headliens would show.

 

I am interested, but I have a couple of questions.

Some places have the wrong zip (only three numbers that don't match real zip). Will you fix that for the new owner?

You can't search by city, state to look up a zip. Most people doing a search would not know the zip. Will you add a search by city/state?

 

- The zips with 3 digits are non-us zips. they are correct as far as I know. what you see on first page (the low numbered ones) are puerto rico zips.

- If the buyer is interested, I can add a search by city and a search by state in addition to search by zip.

Ahh good buy. Notice you said nothing about this will be the only site like this. Just wondering if you plan on selling another one.

 

Actually I usually sell every script once. and the new owner is planning to resell it as he told me so you might contact him.
Technically, the database itself is available freely online, just google it, but it is the script files that were of interested to all the people who contacted me.

I think they'd be interested in using it on other country zips maybe, not sure.
