Ok, I just spent 3 hours downloading a large zip file which I just found out when I tried to open it that it has a password. The site its from no longer isworking so i cant get the password from them and endless google searches for it has come up blank. Now I am using Advanced ZIP Password Recovery but its going to take more than a year to do it brute force.

My Question is, does anyone know of any applications which can forcibly remove passwords from the zip file itself or if there are any zip extracting programs which extract files even if there is a password, so it ignores the password?

+rep for anyone who can help me,

I really don't think there is any program, they must encrypt it pretty heavily.
