    Hey

I need an explanation fo this. Google shows zero (0) backlinks to my site. How is that possible. I know there are links on the site from several blogs, and I have added the site to different directories, article directories, and all that I should do. Why doesn't he show any links???

    tnx

If your site is newly built and didnt make it last Google update, then it won't give results for your backlinks. Just wait for the next update..

google updates the backlinks every 2-3 months. if your site is new , you must wait google to update backlinks

you can't just view your backlinks in google if your site is newly publish. you must wait for their update in backlinks. and believe, google backlinks isn't that great, try to view your links in yahoo instead. its much better...

Are you doing link: search or looking via the Google Webmaster Tools?

Google tools are pretty fast to show the links, but front page google doesn't make this information public.

Google search box only display a random of your backlinks but if you want to see the real number of your backlinks you can view it on google webmaster tools if you have an account.

Google may not have updated the visible backlink records yet - it updates every few weeks. You can find a more complete set of backlinks via the Google webmasters panel.

google almost need a few weeks to months to update the backlink info,
    try google alert service,
it will alert you once you get backlinks. :)
