Hi, My website has got Zero Backlinks as per Google but still has a PR of 2 and my pages are showing up consistently for keywords related to my domain. What could be wrong here ? Is it that my domain has been dropped or banned by Google ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thnx
A PR of 2 is only possible if you've got backlinks. You just don't know what they are. Use Yahoo Site Explorer to find them. Google does not provide you with adequate information about your backlinks.
Yeah..Phillips is right. Never use Google to check backlinks. Use Yahoo and backlink checker websites like backlinkchecker.com

I have seen a blog of less than a month got PR4, it is wierd but it is true, no one knows what Google is really thinking about
Google not showing all the backlinks for your website so use yahoo site explorer for checking backlinks.
You can see your actual back links in google webmaster tools if you have google webmaster account. If you have not please create one and add your website on it it shows your actual backlinks
the link: comand will not show the exact amount of backlinks in Google. Google do like this because of the mis use of spammers. If you want to know the exact backlink count logon to your Google webmastertools and check the links pointing to your website. Tip: You cannot achieve PR2 without backlinks.
