Zerg Links

I have some questions namely concerning links on web pages.

Do links in directories have the same weight as links on lets say a blog or a commercial site?

So I have 1 link on the home page of 3 sites. They are all PR4

    1 Directory.
    1 Blog.
    1 Commercial Site.

Do I receive the same bonus on all of them or are some links valued more? They are all PR4.

Is the bonus for a Site Wide link ALOT more positive then just a single page link? What is the extra if so?

    Next Question:
Is zerg linking pointless? By zerg I mean lots of little pointless ones. So les say 50 links on PR0 sites. Would one single link on a PR7 site out rank all of the 50 links?

    Thanks.

Considering that all the other variables like PR, the same theme with your site, anchors etc. are equally for all 3 types, I think the links will be considered with the same power.

For your other question, again, if all things but PR are the same, yes, I think one PR7 link will out rank the 50 PR0 links.

Would the answer be the same lets say with 20 PR1 sites?

I am just wondering how I should structure my buying ads campaign.

Its lots better then 1 monster link?

I would structure my buying diversifying all. Ex:

    1. 80 PR0 links from directories
    2. 60 PR1 links from blogs
    3. 50 PR2 links from link exchanges

Something like this. Not 5 PR7 links and that's it but not 300 PR0 links.

    It's always good to diversify.

"Would the answer be the same lets say with 20 PR1 sites?" - you would have to go into math and it's no need. But a straight answer in my opinion is yes.
