ZeldaGamers.com for sale - popular gaming forum

ZeldaGamers.com started on the 5th of September 2006, but was originally called TwilightPrincess.net (in reference to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess). The site exploded with traffic, but then quietened down after the game was released. The forum however is still a great Zelda resource.

The site is on the first page of Google when you search for "zelda forums" and quite a few site pages are in Google. The forum uses vbSeo which is included.

    Random notes
    • I like running the site, but I'm terrible at monetizing forums. I'd rather just sell the site now, and work on other non-forum projects I have in the works.
    • The design is 100% original (designed by me), but the PSD was on an old computer so it's not included.
    • I personally don't have much input into the site anymore, nor do I advertise it. Most of the members are happy enough, and have made great friendships so they keep coming back.
    If you buy the site:
    • Sending out an email to all the members always gets activity up - and the demographic (teenage video gamers) sure loves a contest.
    • A new design may be a good idea to properly monetize the site, the current design looks pretty, but hasn't been great for CTR rates.
    The buyer will receive:
    • zeldagamers.com and twilightprincess.net, pushed via namecheap.com
    • owned vBulletin licence
    • owned vbSeo licence
    • FTP details to transfer the site
    • Admin account for vBulletin to download database
    • 30 days to move the site
A lot of work has gone into this forum, but I am not sure what to start the offers at. Once I start receiving offers I may add a BIN price to the thread.

This site does not earn any revenue - there are Kontera ads, but they earn < $5 per month.

    Reply/PM with you're offer.

Payment is via PayPal (I am PayPal Verified).

Ah, forgot about those (they only show to guests). Unfortunately they don't make any money.

Like the main post said, the design isn't very optimized for monetization.

    Sounds good.

Also, I have a few requests for whoever buys the site:
    • please don't change too much. The community is really great, it's just not refined. Don't go in, change the name, delete forums, new design etc all in one go.
    • keep the mod team in place. The mods are very dedicated and helpful, so let them keep their jobs. :)

The buyer is interested in backing out as he isn't experienced enough with vBulletin etc to run the forum.

PM/reply to buy the site now for $975 - if the buyer definitely wants a refund (awaiting confirmation).

No. Someone bought it, and I was happy. Then they wanted a refund as they weren't experienced enough to run it. I didn't want to make the community go through another admin change so I decided to keep it.
