What are every ones views on: http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ The whole film is free on that site (official).
The movie has a lot of good points that can be backed up by academic research, but it also makes a lot of claims that are completely un-sourced. It might be a little less dramatic if they left it to the absolute facts, but if it gets people learning a little bit more about modern politics and searching things on their own then I'm all for it..
I haven't watched this yet. Friends have told me about it, and it sounds like it runs the gamut of the conspiracy spectrum, mixing legitimate issues like the banking and monetary system, with religious conspiracies etc. As far as "the truth", the monetary system is where everything is quite easily verified as a pyramid scheme. Most people are just unaware of it. If the average bub could understand the banking system, there would be a revolt. We've been getting fleeced for generations.
The Religion part just "makes so much sense" when you first watch it, but there's a lotttttt of bullsh!t claims in it. The next part I think is 9/11, it wasn't news to me at all when I saw it. It's like a summary of loose change. And then the 3rd is NWO, again, wasn't news to me at all. If these high school dropouts want to make a living making videos like this, they would be a lot more successful and respected if they studied their topic first and made sure they knew what they were talking about. Really I think Zeitgeist gives conspiracy theorists like myself a bad name. Listen to Coast to Coast AM for conspiracies and theories that actually have SOLID facts about them and make you think.
I think I since there some of the video for the federal reserve with people posted, which after watch the first 5 min I countered 5 of their "facts: to be false.
Can you post this again in English this time? If you want a video to watch on economics, and the FED, I have the perfect one for you. Lemme know.
You can just watch the video on one window and open up a google search on the other. Look up some of those quotes they use and you'll find out that no one on the internet has even typed that quote out except in reference to the movie. Many of their facts do seem to be accurate, some of them are extremely questionable. And like Nate said, a quick look at some mythology will show that their comparison to other deities is extremely exaggerated. Overall, its a good movie so I'm not going to record a laundry list of sources to disprove it.
Well the bit about the stars and religion was convincing. It just makes so much sense. The thing that closed the deal for me was watching an 5 hour documentary by some other person which followed the same concepts as this but explored more including monarchs etc. If any one is interested, I'll get them the link. It was probably the best thing I've ever seen. So much detail etc. Like I never knew that the queen (UK) has the stone of jacob (jewish stone) under her throne.
I just heard about this guy last week. Jordan Maxwell. If you dig religious conspiracy stuff, his site is pretty good. There are lots of different topics covered on there. http://www.jordanmaxwell.com/articles/religion/index.html ~
This is one of the best ones. Money, Banking and the Federal Reserve http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-466210540567002553 The other one is America Freedom to Fascism by Aaron Russo. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1656880303867390173 There is another one called the MoneyMasters, it's ok but there are a couple errors in it. M, B & FR is probably one of the highest quality (of content) videos. It's very US centric, but basically all Central Banks around the world (which nearly every country has) function in the same manner. Secrecy, paper money, fractional banking etc. One more.
