    Zeeblo.com

Long standing free cPanel webhost that was in need of some tlc recently, I have revamped the site and given it a fun outlook rather than the standard dull pro look.

Hosting over 200 accounts, although about 30 can be removed as they are not being used.

Signups are handled by moderators, the clientexec software managed the automation of signups but the use of coupon codes prevents spamming of the system or those signing up without being verified first.

Traffic stats for August so far(awstats):

    Avg Daily: 330
    Total unique: 2722
    Total Visits: 8230
    Hits: 381,000
    Bandwidth: 1.3GB

Traffic has been consistent at the above levels throughout 2007.

    Forum Stats:

Total Members: 419 (was over 1,000, cleared out non active)

Google ads were bringing in $42 in July, then I tried the hostgator affiliate program which has made only 1 signup in August, but thats worth $50.

You will need at least 10GB of space and 30GB bandwidth to manage the current accounts.

    Included Domains:

    Zeeblo.com
    Zeeblopro.com
    Zeeblo.org
    Zeeblo.info
    myzeeblo.com

    Licences:

    Clientexec owned license
Vbulletin is leased so not transferable
two vbulletin skins are included also.
PSD of the logo is also included.

I can handle the move for you if you wish, but root access must be available to do so.

More info available to interested parties only, dont post otherwise.

    BIN $500

no, the rules changed quite some time ago on leased Vb licenses, in that you cant transfer them, but you wont need to buy one until Nov 07 when it expires as I wont be using that particualr license again.

Can you please explain to me the business model? Where do you intend to earn the most money from a site like this? I'm interested, but I'm just not sure about the purpose. Doesn't this make you an official web host where you have to monitor what is hosted on each one of these accounts?

How much time does it take to manage this business?

Currently the money comes from clicks on ads within zeeblo.com, you do have to monitor whats hosted but thats easily done.

Time spent each day is a minium of 20 minutes, more if you choose.

The part I have not done is to come up with a way to place an ad on every account you offer hosting too, there are many ways, I just never did it.

How about support? Do you outsource that or handle it yourself?

I mostly have experience with shared hosting. And although I have a ded. server of my own, I require support for higher level technical issues.

Since these accounts are free, how does it make sense to offer any at all based on the low revenues earned off of the ads currently?

I held back on windows hosting as I was going to sell site, I know a lot would not want to support it, however their was a good level of interest in it.

Support is provided only via the forum where members help each other, it works well, only involvement from me is if something goes wrong on the server, but thats rare. The mods do a good job.

Caligent, $50 in a month is enough to pay for hosting, you may choose other methods, the most ideal way is to put a system in place of placing ads on each users account, as I said previously there are various ways of doing this I just never got that far.

Zeeblo is a well known and trusted free host known for its support and uptime, adding ads to each account wont be frowned upon, people are more concered about having a stable host.

lol, I used to be the original owner/creator of Zeeblo around 2 years ago.

It's gone through alot of owners, but I'm glad it's still up.

Might think of taking it back. :D

Where are you currently hosted? Are you using a reseller?
