I have some questions regarding zango. Is it true that it installs adware with whatever you have downloaded? What methods does it offer to advertiste, banners, pop unders etc.? Do google/search engines care if you are running zango ads on your website? Anything else I should know?

Zango is adware. The visitor gets content in exchange for pop-ups.

It is generated by javascript so Google doesn't know whether you're using Zango or not.

Zango uses what is called CPV (Cost per view).
    How it works:
1.) Someone wants content that Zango has to offer for free (free if you dont care about pops)
2.) Said person downloads that content and clicks "I agree" to the terms which clearly lay out that you will get pop ups so it is perfectly legal.
3.) Person uses software and is happy until pop-ups occur, but that is what they agreed to.
4.) The pop-ups open a new window DIRECTLY OVER the current window that the person is using and loads the advertisement.
5.) Advertiser pays between 1.5-3 cents per time this happens.

PS.) Since bounce rate is so high, google adwords and adsense gets really mad and Quality Score goes down.

    Hope this helps,
    Scott

Zango no longer install harmful adware this is a fact. i think your still living in the past to tell the truth! Oh and next time you give a red rep place your name at the end of the comment don't be such a pussy and leave it blank.

Zango is classed as good adware, Zango only installs itself on your system if you give it permission to do so. Zango can be removed with a simple add and remove in the CP due to these reasons zango is classed as good adware or safe adware. Adware is software that automatically displays advertisements with out the user asking for them in zangos TOS you agree to have it downloadm there for Zango wont install adware on your pc unless you give it permission to do so and once you give it permission its not adware. Nothing in zango will harm your pc. zango its self is not adware.

I have installed Zango and actively monetize some websites with it.

Even if you classify Zango as 'good adware', that is still under the category 'adware'.

Zango fits the wikipedia definition of adware perfectly - "Adware or advertising-supported software is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertisements to a computer after the software is installed on it or while the application is being used.".
