    Hello guys,

does anyone around here knows what is this Z-Order??? I read somewhere that it can be used to optimize the flash based websites but i sincerely doubt the method stated in it as it may lead to black-hat. Using a HTML code example they displayed how to put content one below the other and i think it is a black-hat

Z-order feature provides layer more flexibility, you can position the layer anywhere without overlapping the other layer. In flash based websites, what we do, we position the text content under the Flash movie. I am really not sure whether it is a spammy technique or not as I have implemented the same technique in some of my websites that are working fine. However, according to Google, A user should see the same what a search engine crawlers see on a web page. As per this guideline, this content might be considered as hidden text and this technique could be considered as spammy technique...:)

Due to some network restrictions, I could not upload the screen shots...
@sf_guy In my knowledge and experience, there is no action taken by Google so far on the websites where this technique is implemented. So can't say it black hat technique..:)
