    Yutter Internet Directory

We have opened a few days early, as we were expecting a few days to debug our software but we finished early!

Here are the types of submissions you can make:

    1. Featured - Will put you on top of every page inside the category and search results where your listing may appear. Reviewed within 24 hours.
    2. Standard No Reciprocal Required - Standard directory listing. Reviewed within 24 hours.
    3. Standard with Reciprocal - Standard directory listing with a link back to us. Reviewed within 24 hours.
    4. Free with Reciprocal - This is new, we will add you to our directory (if your site meets our guidelines), with a JavaScript encoded link. Reviewed within 10-20 business days.
    5. Cool Site List - When you submit any link except the free one you can also add on "Cool Site List". The cool site list is a list of 5 sites shown at random on the homepage, and between 5 and 10 on every page inside. So this will really help you gain some exposure. And the results are all generated randomly, there is no human interference. To get a better idea of how this works, head over to www.yutter.com and look on the left-side and you will see "Random Cool Sites", you will be permanently added to that list.
All Digital Point users can enter Promotion Code dp for $5.00 in credit for a limited time!

    http://www.yutter.com

    Thanks!

    David

P.S. - If you submitted a link for inclusion over the weekend like many of you did, you may have already received an email from us, or you will shortly regarding the status of your link! It will also give you your links personal upgrade page where you can control that status of your link!

Hi, David, I've seen my 2 directories of pre-submission listed. Thanks a lot!
I can say your directory will be in top of directories in near future.

We've set aside a good chunk of change to devote to not just maintaining our pagerank but improving on it, we're not satisfied with a PR 6.

We also have been in business for quite some time (swiftblue) and have some friends with hefty PR value who are on board with us.

We're in this for the long-haul and we are totally committed to constantly improving.

All links that have been submitted tonight have been approved.

And about half the people who sent pre-submissions in should have received an email from us tonight giving them a link to their listings upgrade page if you were accepted.

And I apologize if you submitted more than 1 link, which many of you did, and you got an email for each submission.

    David,

    I couple of questions.

If we submit today (standard) and we're top of the list will we stay there (I know the featured would bump standard down)? Some directories sort by PR which gives someone with lower PR no advantage if they submit early if the category gets lots of submissions.

Also how many submissions per category on a page?

If we got accepted for a free link what do we do to upgrade from the no PR java script link?

Thanks and good luck with the directory.

    dbinto:

We are not sorting by Pagerank. How the categories work on Yutter it goes Featured->Standard->Free

We are working on something to sort how and in what order the standard listings get sorted but we are not going to use the standard pagerank method that seems to be popular with other directories.

There will be 10 listings on each page.

If you already got accepted for a free link and would like to upgrade from it, please PM me the sites url's you wish to upgrade and I will give you your upgrade link.

You should have received an email from us tonight that had that link in there but we ran into some email problems earlier so it might not have reached you, so feel free to PM me.

    Thanks!

    Sorry about that!

It's fixed, I was doing a database backup and I performed it from the wrong username for the DB.

It should be fixed, it's a good thing I have a Blackberry to notify me of this (on the down side I have to try and fall back asleep!)

But it's all set, thanks for letting me know about it.

Does the reciprocal link need to be on the same site as is submitted? If this is possible i'll create a recip link to yours.

Does that java link do any good for seo? Why don't you guys just make it no follow..

Yes, for now it needs to be on the same site.

And in regards to nofollow tag. I'm not completely sure that google uses it as it supposed to and just pass on by it. It may be that google sees nofollow as a NO vote towards PageRank and might actually hurt it, and we certainly don't want to do that.

So SEs will follow this kinda js onclick code (as oppose to plain href code), and pass PR on to the site?

    <a href="javascript:;" onClick="parent.location='http://www.jobisgood.com';" class="site">

    HTML:
btw, looks like this code does not work on IE. Check that out.

    anyway, nice directory..

No, SE's won't follow that code. JS was picked as oppossed to NOFOLLOW because some people think NOFOLLOW is a "no" vote for that site with Google as opposed to Google just passing by it.

I just checked it in IE and it was working fine, what version are you using?
