Yahoo has some cool new demographic targeting tools in their arsenal. They have much more detailed demographic data than Google does. If you do the standard match + demographic targeting + negative keywords (account level, unfortunately) you should be on your way to getting clicks and conversions for cheaper than Google. The next thing to do is see where your yahoo traffic is coming from. By default, it doesn't just come from Yahoo.com, it comes from many of their YPN publishers. You need to manually negative it out. If you track the URL's that provide you the Yahoo link, you can then put those in site negatives on the account level. That should get you the nice yummy dollars you are looking for. Traffic will always be less than google though...
Don't put your opinion if you have not really tried both Google and Yahoo. Yahoo converts well and is more cheaper. Google eats lots of money and lots of click fraud.
i see better coversion rates with google and definitely get more traffic from google as well but still get sales from ysm
Google Adwords provides better results for us. We also find the Google Adwords interface much better than the Yahoo Search control panel.

YSM pushes a lot more traffic than just on Yahoo.com. They have one of the largest advertising networks anywhere.
really google adwords works good and helps in increase traffic and business but YSM till now i did not receive any traffic or single business from both MSN , YSM. how many ways we check, google is the best, no one can beat google.

No, it's not. Yahoo search marketing is a joke, less traffic, almost the same cost (in some niches), and they also charge your PP account automatically. While in Adwords, you need to keep authorize another payment to refill your account. in yahoo, they charge your PP/CC account under your nose every time the account is running low. I remember the day when they charged my PP account 3 times at once, each $30, but then they didn't add any of those $30 into my account balance. What is that?
YSM is worse than Google Adwords for 5 major reasons: 1. Low scalability 2. Bad keyword research tool 3. Difficult user interface 4. Complicated payment system 5. Too few reports
AdWords advantages: Better UI More targeting options Larger traffic volume YSM advantage: Sometimes it is much cheaper to see your ad on first search results page
YSM & Adwords are two different beast. YSM has much less traffic but their searchers are less saavy which means your clicks will get higher conversions. With Adwords your going to pay more but the traffic will be there. If your starting out, I suggest YSM because it will be cheaper, so you can learn the ropes.
i think YSM is good then Adwords because i use YSM,when i use YSM,the visitor come a lot to my blog,but when i use adwords,the visitor not many then YSM,,i think YSM is the best!
I'm leaning more to Google than YSM. I ran the exact same ads on both and YSM editorially removed my ads without telling me why or how to edit for approval. Still struggling with that now. Alex
Yahoo can be spotty. I don't have too many clients that are spending much with them. I'm talking to their rep right now. Yahoo international is especially frustrating, and I've found that using Google international on competitive industries really saves alot of money. On the other hand, I've had clients that have seen conversion rates that are a bit lower than Google, but also much cheaper clicks - in a very competitive industry. I don't really like their interface, love some of the tools, hate the others. Anyone who's serious about PPC has got to test their market on Yahoo and MSN though...
I've heard it said by one "marketing guru" that if you're trying to reach smart people, Google is best. Use the other two for the rest. Seriously! When it comes to customer service, I'm not too crazy about either of them. I'm sure that will change in time if the "pay per click pie" starts to be sliced up a bit more.
