    Hi,

Can you tell me which is better, YSM or Google Adwords?

If you think YSM is better than Google Adwords, in what manner?

If you think Google Adwords is better than YSM, in what manner?

Please lay down points step by step so that we can evaluate whether YSM is really a great deal or Google Adwords is better than YSM.

    Thanks.

    Ron

Yeah, my vote is for adwords too. People said traffic from YSM was cheaper, but in my experience it usually costs more and the traffic doesn't convert nearly as good as adwords traffic.

Whether it is SEO or SEM, Google is a clear cut winner. Yahoo needs to go long way.

The truth of the matter is more people use Google search than Yahoo search. People won't be able to click on your ads if they don't see it.

Needless to say, Adwords gets my vote.

I think alot more people would say that yahoo traffic is about equal, if not a bit better than google, if they were sure to use "standard match" rather than the crappy "advanced match" which is on by default. The "advanced match" is like google's broad match, if not worse; it will make it so all TYPES of irrelevant/junk keywords will pull up your ads during a real search. This can make your conversion rate fall through the floor bigtime, trust me!

I ONLY use "standard match" for yahoo.

I think depend on product or service offered. For certain product or service, yahoo gives better quality conversion. it's my own experience for several time using yahoo.

I have to say adword. I spend less money with them and people seem to respond more to my google ads. But all the same, yahoo is still a great place to market. I use both whenever I can.

Each have there pro's and con's..

There is much more volume on Google
However Yahoo CAN be cheaper in some niches (but not all)

Honestly - try them both - split test it..

IMHO it heavily depends on the country. Yahoo is simply more used in some countries than google and vice-verca. Maybe MSN is even more relative in some countries.

I use Adwords as well as Yahoo. For our silver jewelry e-shop Adwords generate better conversion rate than Yahoo. On the other hand it also depends on keywords. Sometimes less common (niche) keywords generate best results with Yahoo rather than with Google Adwords, as many competitors advertise with Adwords and seem to little forget about Yahoo. As I say, it is always necessary to test and test and make decisions based on actual results.
