I plan to start on promoting some affiliate products on PPC, where do you suggest I should start with? Google Adwords or YSM? or maybe MSN adCenter? Also if you can explain to me why It be very much appreciated.
Also, do you want to promote your product on a national level, or local level. In other words, what is your goal for the campaign? Number of visitors, conversions, leads...??
yeah, since I'm just new I would like to start with one. and concentrate on one. it's national level and I am looking for leads.
I would go with Google because they have the most searches. You might want to turn on conversion tracking and install it into your website so you can determine your cost per lead.
Ideally I would start with YSM and AdWords, but if you want to pick just one to learn on, start with Google AdWords. Big thing with that is they have an excellent learning center that will help you get your footing when setting up and running the campaign plus, like JF-Panter said, they obviously have the most volume of searches so you'll have a larger audience to test and track performance on.
okey. I might try adwords. one more thing. Can I stop my ad campaign anytime because I wanted to start small. Like just $10/ day and stop it when it reach $100 for a month. Just to try it out.
I'm not sure of the exact amount, but we can limit our expenses in Google Adwords. How can we get this "turn on conversion tracking and install it into your website so you can determine your cost per lead." Moreover where can we find "learning center"?
I suggest Google Adwords because of its ease of use, also because google ads are shown just about everywhere.
To answer your question, yes at any time you can pause your campaign and it will stop running. Adcenter is crap right now. I think it has some potential in the future, but there is no reason to waste money on it. Google is number one, obviously but your traffic will come really fast. If your just trying to learn, make sure you are checking your account alot to see the traffic results. Yahoo is pretty fast too but not as much as Google. They both have great clients that are easy to use and operate, but make sure to get comfortable before starting your first campaign.
If you have the resources use all 3. Companies advertise on nearly all major newspapers in the country.
