Does YSM also provide an option for Ad Serving just like Google Adwords do? in Adwords, you can choose Optimize or Rotate. Does YSM offer this feature as well? I can't seem to find it on anywhere on the interface.
Yup, the pain in the butt Yahoo interface does have the ad rotation setting. When you're in the AdGroup, click on the Ad Group Settings button above the date range on the right. Then click "edit" in the left box. If you're trying to split test your copy, set the Optimize Ad Display to "no". Hey, my first post and it's useful!!!!
Hi “TatiAnAâ€, Yahoo! Search Marketing does offer a feature known as Ad Testing. Ad testing happens automatically when you create more than one ad within a single ad group. By default, our system is designed to automatically display the ads in your ad group with the highest click-through rates. You can control this feature by changing the “Optimize Ad Display†setting in your account using the following steps: - Click the “Campaigns tab. - Click a campaign name. - Click the checkbox next to the ad group for which you want to turn optimization on or off. - Click the “Optimize Ads†button. - To turn on ad optimization, select “Yesâ€. To turn it off, select “Noâ€. - Click “Submitâ€. If the Ad Optimization feature is on, we'll display ads in the ad group that have a higher click-through rate. If it is off, all ads within an ad group are displayed in equal proportion. We also offer a helpful Ad Testing Tutorial, found here: http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/ysm/cn/rc/tu_adtesting_2.swf?swp=1&ref=MktngAlert Hope this helps, YahooPete
With the feature on, are all the ads still tested? If I add new ads, do I need to turn the feature off to test all ads? If so, how long would you recommend keeping it off? Thanks
Hi there, When ad optimization is on, it will rotate and test the ads in your ad group, identify poorly-performing ads, and eventually set the status of those poorly-performing ads to ‘Off.’ If it is on, the ad optimization feature will automatically test new ads that you add to the ad group -- along with any other ads that are currently being tested -- so you do not need to turn the feature off and then on again to begin testing your new ads. Note that those ads that are off will not be re-tested when you create new ads in the ad group. Hope this helps. Thanks for your feedback. YahooPete
