I just started reading about Yahoo's now YQ contextual searching technology. You can try it out at yahoo news here: http://test.news.yahoo.com/ I don't know right now if they are overture results and you can get paid for it, or if the search results are from your website. The article I read took it in both directions, and I haven't vetted it all out for myself just yet. Anyhow, you can read about it here... http://yq.search.yahoo.com/splash/start.html#news Edit: Looks to me after reading the site that the advertising part is planned for the future. There is also nothing there that states that the results will be only from your site. Give this a few months to mature, but it looks very powerful so far.
ah .... AH! I've seen several hits from test.news.yahoo.com - always wondered why they were there. Always thought they came from someone's my.yahoo RSS subscription of my site. This makes much more sense. Thanks Steven!
I understand it has being a button that would trigger a yahoo search for related pages. Nothing to do with adsense... It could, in fact, reduce the number of ad impressions. It's like the "web search" link in the right-click menu of moz... http://www.internetnews.com/xSP/article.php/3467941
Well - from the original article I read, it's supposed to do a related search within your site (nothing on Yahoo's page about that), and eventually they'll be running overture ad's in that pop-up box.
