YPN Wish List

Discussion in 'Publisher Network' started by azn_romeo_4u, Jul 9, 2006.

  1. #1
    Link Units
Default URL's instead of just colors
    Faster Loading Ad Units
Detailed Reports for Today Instead Of Just Daily Earnings
More Publisher Tips (the same one about ad targettings is always there)

Anyone have anything they want for YPN?

Image/flash ads would be a very nice addition
Higher RPC, I'd love to see the rates that Yahoo had 6 months ago, I miss the $2-5/click average.
    CPM ads
Direct site sales, sorta like Adbrite where they run network ads but have option to purchase ads directly.
Keyword targeting where we can select keyword, instead of a category.

All of the above and would love better targetting and if they didn't repeat ads on the same page.

that's true, but have you notice a lot of the RON ads? I believe they are RON ads...not really sure. But I would love a list of the RON ads, or the default ads that yahoo shows.

I would also love to see "double site targetting"...or maybe more than that. You can pick maybe 3 categories at once per site. That would be awesome.

    Link unit ads
    image/flash ads
ability to customize ad sizes (make your own ad size for contextual ads)

Those are the 3 I would love to see (mostly the first two, the third one was just something I just came up with and don't see much of a need for it yet).

I would be happy with the following three things:

    1) Ads that are relevant to the content of the page
    2) Ads that are relevant to the content of the page
    3) Ads that are relevant to the content of the page

i like the idea of having relevant ads, but that would take away the feature "Site Targetting". While having relevant ads will probably increase CTR, it would somewhat defeat the purpose of site targetting wouldn't it?

Because a lot of people don't target their site to the correct category. I really like site targetting, and I still feel that this is the thing that separates yahoo from google and also better customer service.

I would also like to Keyword Targetting. Also a feature in the UI, that lets you type in keywords, and yahoo will pick the closes corresponding category for you.

Ad targeting doesn't work well for me, and it's not implemeted well by YPN. For example, under the "Automotive" category, some of the sub-categories are "Aircraft", "Trailers", and "Motorcycles". They don't offer more logical Automotive sub-categories such as "financing", "insurance", "leasing", "loans", and such. In my case, the targeting is pretty much useless.

I'd like to see the ability to select multiple reporting categories when creating a report. I'd also like more targetted ads and the ability to see detailed reports for each category as they come in during the day. I hate having to wait till the next day for this info.

a giant online forum or some type of community where people can ask advice and get help...who knows...make me their mod, and pay me too...that would be cool...lol.

Multiple ad colors like adsense (i like this feature)
More choices in design of ad box (not just colors, but something better)
Allow ads in popups (not ads, but sites that use popup's with Javascript to display images and content)
Better Channel options that automatically tracks base on URL instead of having to use channel id's. But can also use ID's.

You mean for the site targetting?
