Yahoo Publisher Network. You're in the wrong place - this is Google.

YPN is technically the Yahoo's version of Google Adsense.

Oh boy. It looks like we are in for a long ride ;)

Well, Adsense is the Google Text/banner based advertisment you see on some websites, like the one here in Digital Point on the top right hand corner of the page. As long as you see the 'Ads by Google', that is Adsense.

Adsense works together with Adwords. Basically, Adwords is the service for Advertisers to place their ads on Google and Google's Adsense program which typically work on a pay-per-click basis. Then these ads from Adwords are in a way offered to web site owners who sign up for the Adsense program. You place some Adsense codes in your website and it will magically determine by your context of your web page and tries to pick up the most relevant adwords ads and show them on your site. If anyone clicks on the advertisement, you get paid. It can be 1cent to several tens of dollars, all depends on how much the advertisers are willing to offer. Of course, they have to be valid clicks and not something which you can click all day and make you money. Invalid clicks can get your account terminated.

You can explore more at http://www.google.com/ads/
