Could anyone please help me how to get started with RSS for wordpress. I had tried earlier, but somehow yahoo didn't recognize the RSS feed.

I have Blogs with blogger.com I just post using their online editor and ping each blog daily. I checked the 'settings' then 'site feed' and I see that all BLOGS on blogger.com use something called ATOM.
and each BLOG is submitted to a news feed if you just select the option, 'Publish Site Feed'
it gives your blog an url like:
    http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml

So when selecting the "Register a New RSS Feed' option with YPN RSS code what format do we select with blogger.com and ATOM ?

    WordPress
    - OR -
    Moveable Type

    Did you do it

    http://www.blogname/feed/

    for the url in yahoo?

Then you just need to go in and edit the wp-rss2.php, wp-rdf.php and wp-atom.php

I am personally going to hunt down and maim whomever for google made those horrific gifs of where to insert the Yahoo code. It is not even possible to get them clear, so they wasted a few minutes of my time as I figured out precisely where to add the code. Be aware you have to actually insert the code in the middle of the line, and thus the horrible gif images are horrible, as they show the lines split and tell you to insert the code.

Pretty bad instructions if you ask me. Could have been down 1000 times better. Anyways, I got them added to a few blogs and have checked and they are showing ads... Just wonder if they will show anything other then vonage ads.

You don't. The code seems to be broken as of this moment else someone at Y! has to be manually enabling those feeds for your site (I'm just guessing).

Did you try to call YPN support # (866) 785-2636 ? If you are in US, give them a call. I use a different RSS feed system, so they won't talk to me.

    Please post your finds here.
    Thanks!

You can't have YPN RSS Ads in a blogger account. They are restricted to Wordpress and Movable Type systems right now. They are different publishing platforms from blogger.com. I'm sure Yahoo will expand the number of platforms it support in the future.

OMG! Seriously. Those were the worst instructions in the history of instructions. My grandma could have done better.
