FYI FWIW: I got a phone call today from someone at YPN basically welcoming me to the program and checking in to see how things were going. I was basically blown away, since I'm not a "heavy" like shoemoney. I gave her the "standard suggestions" such as lack of ad relevence on certain pages, more ad targetting options, show ALL the ad-targetting subcats on one page, pay within 30 days (rather than 45) like Adsense does, etc. I told her the most impressive thing was that someone from Yahoo was actually calling me - WOW - anyone else get a phone call?
thats great ... i think they are giving importance to all users on equal scale and making calls randomly .. might be survey kinda thing to see how users respond and what problems they have ... to improve their services. Good luck to you for your YPN account.
been with YPN for about a month now. have not received a phone call yet. and yea I agree the payouts are awesome
I have received call couple of times. Once was just checking on how system is going and othertime for any feedback/suggestions
I got approved today but it says you must be based in the US, i'm based in Ireland....not sure what to do now
I got a call today too. My basic suggestion was improve relevancy to increase CTR. Yahoo seems very serious about getting this thing working properly. Hopefully I'll see some better relevancy/CTR soon so it can beat my AdSense revenue. Right now AdSense is winning, so I reduced my 50/50 AdSense/YPN split to 90/10.
pretty nice views...i think YAHOO wants to come with full power when allowing members from all over the world.
I think it will remain a cat and mouse game, and publishers revenue getting a lil better, the way it should be .
I haven't received a call, but I've called them 3 times to discuss some things, and each time I called they answered on the second ring. The 2 different reps I spoke to were patient, efficient and reassuring--I was impressed with that. AmCy
I got a call on my way home from school yesterday. They had some pretty nice reps, and it was very informative.
Wow, that's amazing, because if you ever have to send in an email through their normal Yahoo! channels for something else related, you go through a plethora of misdirections only to get an auto-reply from an AI generated customer care center that make absolutely no sense regarding what you emailed in the first place. It's nice to see that they're taking this with the seriousness necessary to succeed - let's hope it continues or even improves and migrates into other Y! areas. What would be even nicer though, is if I finally got an invite to the YPN ...
I am officially done with ypn... its spammer central now. cpc has droped some 70% less then when I started with them. When they called me 2 days ago I said I cant afford to run ypn vs adsense anymore.
