YPN paying way better

My amazement with YPN revenue so far over Google never stops. My revenue has continued to get better each day with the sites I have converted over to YPN. When I put some of my slower sites on YPN I thought that a 25% increase would be great, but I have seen my revenue increase over 400% so far and still growing. This simply seals my opinion now that YPN has overtook Google in terms of generating revenue on sites for webmasters. Now if they can only add some of the other features such as Direct Deposit then their system will be the best soon. Also being able to talk to a real person on the phone is a premium. WTG YPN Keep it up.

We can only hope the payout will remain high after beta.

I agree with you on this part of it. This could also be a good way to draw in alot of partners quickly and then pull the rug out later.

After Beta, internationals click will be added (won't they) so the payouts should increase...

Thats what i was thinking as well. I know the cpc will go down but the added clicks from the non us traffic should make up for this?

The CPC will go down as the number of publishers increases. Its a simple matter of supply and demand. Right now, Yahoo has a decent number of ads and few publishers, hence a high CPC.

    Here's the basic comparison:

YPN : Low number of advertisers + Medium number of ads + Low number of publishers = Poor relevence + High CPC

Adsense: High number of advertisers + High Number of ads + High number of publishers = Good relevence + Average CPC

These comparisons, of course, depend on the specific keywords for each as the supply/demand for each will vary.

With individual clicks bringing in as much as ten dollars on my sites, I have to conclude that YPN must be paying out 100%. There is no way that is going to last.

No, of course not. But it makes me wonder exactly how much Google keeps. I dont believe the 78% payout suggested by the NY times, I suspect its the other way around.... I think Google keeps 78%. I think Google's "SmartPricing" also keeps the best paying ads for itself.

If yahoo payouts dont decrease dramatically, and they become more relevant in their contextual ad placement, they could hurt Google badly by forcing Google to compete for publishers and actually VALUE our contribution a bit.

This is why I want MSN into the mix too. Competition will help all of us.

Nah, i am seeing drastic drop of revenue after joining ypn for almost 2 1/2 months. I am not sure why but i don't see more than 2.00 per click now. :(

When is this coming out of beta?

I'll have to test it out on a couple new sites I'm trying to finish. :D

I have experienced the exact opposite after trying YPN. I switched back to Google.

This could obviously be dependent on the type of site you are operating then. I have heard a few say the same thing as that. However, on my sites I have seen my revenue shoot up. I am going to expand this to another site and see what happens with that site as well.

I can see CPC dropping but still more than Goog. YPN will not want to be come another Chitika and piss off webmasters (I know it was a different situation with the auditing but somewhat same scenario in ticking people off) to the point of leaving completely. If they do everyone will flock back to Google in a heart beat. YPN will have to differentiate itself from Google somehow, might as well be CPC rates.

A lot of the people using YPN have been banned from Google so they can't "flock back" unless they have 2 SSNs as someone on this board seems to have.

Most peopel being banned are usually breaking the TOS by having both Google and YPN ads on the same website which Google is viewing as a breach of their TOS.

I would say most people being banned from Google are getting invalid clicks from somewhere...

I've reported this one site which is using YPN, Adsense and adbrite text ads and that site is still showing all three and it's been 2 months.

As a matter of fact that site added another ad network...

it is against the tos to serve both adsense and ypn on the same page.

who said it was against the tos to serve both adsense and ypn on the same website?

Has anyone sustained these high payouts past a 6 month period. My account started out red hot (Aug 05) like many of you describe, but slowly declined month after month. Wondering if any has had similar experience.

Theory is that maybe new accounts get bonus payouts that are then gradually reduced?

    same thing happened to me.

Payouts were sky high then gradually reduced to Google-type levels.

I have come to the conclusion, certain traffic just doesn't do well for website commerce.

This is one thing YPN, Google, Chitika, and affiliate marketing have shown me.
