    Hi Citizen-
Perhaps you are confusing an advertiser email about features in our new advertising platform- one of which is geotargeting. But YPN hasn't sent out an email about this to my knowledge. Perhaps you can send me a private email with more details and I can try to help you get some resolution.

So what is the deal with the geo-targeting ads, Sarah? Why isn't YPN implementing it instead of forcing publishers to do it themselves? Please enlighten us on why YPN hasn't implemented such a simple solution as of yet?

the real question is, you are already auditing out international clicks, what do you care whether we geotarget or not? if we dont, then advertisers get free traffic, even if it is international. but threatening to terminate, or terminating if we dont is absurd.

for some of us larger publishers, setting up and maintaining geotargetting is a hassle over hundreds of different sites. when you come out of beta, it will be another big hassle to remove geotargetting again and send international traffic back to you. you may find some high quality publishers unwilling to go through that in order to give you more traffic and "test" your international ads.

While I agree at some point YPN should geotarget themselves (they have the technology in overture already), there are ad solutions out there that can manage multiple sites from a single ad server (or at least a few) install.

I would definitely not want to go through the pain of setting up 'hundreds' of sites individually and then having to go back and alter those 'hundreds' of servers again when I can just set up a few ad servers I can flip back later :) .

It would be nice of Sarah responds but I doubt it. She's been here two years and only has 31 posts. Speaks for itself, doesn't it?

im happy that she pops in here and there and addresses items that she feels / wants / is told to address. much more than G will ever give.

still, i agree with you on that and unfortunately, we keep asking quality questions and getting low quality answers. ypn's "conversion" rate is seriously dropping in this respect. lmao
