My god........ never complain or say ypn earnings are poor... I got 4 clicks from AdSense on my test site, it has highly relevant ads etc, and the 4 clicks earned me a whopping 4 cents total........ Adsense actualy pays as low now as one cent a click. I am so glad I still have ypn......... no matter how bad my earnings are, it would be horrible if I only had AdSense and got one cent clicks all the time............
It seems to vary per site. Some sites work better with Adsense. Some with YPN. for example some sites love search, downloads and YPN does not pay you for either.
mysite has a large forum with over 1000 messages per day and that's the only section I think adsense beats ypn. I left adsense on the forums because when i first tried YPN, it didn't perform good. I might try again after the holidays. u never know maybe ypn improved their targeting scheme over the past few days.
I agreed... YPN pays better no matter how much their CTR goes low...RPC allways stays good so at the end, you make more money.
People really do need to stop complaining, for me YPN always pays better then Adsense, for others they get success from Adsense on some sites, but complaining at DigitalPoint is not going to change anything.
One of my websites contain highly relevant ads, some person clicked on it and I got: $0.04 cents - that was my first click - since I'm quite new to AdSense. Hopefully I can test out YPN when or if it comes to the United Kingdom, hopefully it will as there is a chance of it coming over to England because 60% of Yahoo is owned by a British company; I think it's British Telecom.
Even with the recent drop in earnings on YPN I'm still outperforming my adsense sites by far. I have one recent site that's picking up in popularity. If I could get YPN to target decent ads to it I'd switch it over too. That's my biggest issue with YPN now, low advertiser count.
Have to agree with the OP. Sometimes I get more clicks with AdSense than YPN but I still earn more with YPN.
at the end of the day what matters most is not total revenue. what matters is that you are capitalizing on your visitors not just today, but tomorrow and next week, maximizing your revenue per visitor per year. sometimes this means you make less today by giving them quality reasons to keep on coming back again over a long period of time. serving non relevant ads may make you more money today but you may find that you lost a visitor for good. jmo
A visitor will not leave your website because you show irrelevant advertisements, if anything they will stay because they don't go to an interesting advertiser's website.
the point isnt whether they will leave. the point is whether they will come back. you can make money on 1 visitor 1 time or you can make money on 1 visitor hundreds of times. i work for the latter in mind, even if i make less per click / action
