of course UK publishers can use it via OMG http://www.onlinemediagroup.co.uk/ - they take a cut, but you still get YPN adds to put on your site. relevancy for me is terrible, and CTR worse, but you can display YPN adds if you are in the UK. Not sure whether they take Irish publishers.....
Do they have some sort of agreement with YPN? I thought sharing of accounts in this manner was against TOS?
its all quite official as far as I can see - they must have an agreement - I get UK adverts on my sites, and it is for UK traffic only. I guess its a way of setting up a basic UK operation without yahoo having to vet sites, deal with users etc themselves. (OMG do all that). I had to jump through a few hoops to get accepted. I'm pretty sure some other companies must be doing this too - perhaps in Canada?
how do people get invites to sell? once you are accepted, can you invite people (like how gmail was?) or do they sell their acceptance?
do you happen to know how much of a cut that take? You get a separate invite signup link, thought these days yahoo call potential publishers rather than emailing due to the high level of applicants mostly who dont even qualify because of their sites and location.
Yes, you need to be a US citizen in order to use YPN. More specifically, you need a tax ID or Social Security number.
YPN has been seen to pay much higher. But if your conversions are low they will cut you off. IMO dont bother with YPN until they fix all their problems.
I have applied several times to YPN with no avail. I still really don't know what type of site they are looking for. My sites have the traffic but I dunno./..
