Discussion in 'Publisher Network' started by businessman, Dec 24, 2006.

    Hi,

When is YPN coming to Canada? I have been waiting for it since past 1 year and haven't heard of any updates. Does anyone know when it is accepting Canadian residents?

    Thanks

From the looks of it, they still have a lot of bugs that still need to be fixed, so I wouldn't count on this happening any time soon.

Looks like they are still figuring out a way for targeting traffic or something, I would another year or less for a stable version to come out.

darn it. I wanted to test it out. Adsense is great but want to see what Yahoo has to offer. I have seen some successful peeps from YPN.

Canada could be the icing on the cake for Yahoo, but I guess they don't want to get too fat.

sigh, I think it's just so stupid. I mean we are like literally, neighbors, yet we don't have access to the same kinds of services. it only takes a crossing of the border to get to Canda, yet it takes like a gajillion years for YPN to actually be available.

I posted an article on DP several weeks ago in the main Yahoo section about how Yahoo will launch a paid search service for canada. The thread is located here.

I'm thinking the publishing network should follow along this year.

When is YPN coming to Canada?
When Yahoo decides to release it out of beta, even then, it'll take time for them to release it world wide.
Yes, Yahoo has been very secretive in giving out Information on the spread of YPN Globally, they haven't even mentioned it in their blog, even though it's a frequently asked question. Everyone will have to wait until Yahoo releases it, and that's obviously when you'll know it's been released world wide, or to your specific Country.
Does anyone know when it is accepting Canadian residents?
No one knows the answer to that, rough estimates say next year maybe mid 2007.

I think they've got alot of work to be done yet.

    - Their ads don't seem to be very targeted to content at all compared to google.
    - Their sponsored search is confusing and really poorly layed out.
    - I don't like the way their ads look for some reason.

So I probably won't use them for either any time soon.

Its getting like a Sonic the hedgehog convention on here with everyones exasperations of his phrase "I'm waiting", tapping the foot with arms folded.

To any Yahoo staff reading these pages. Make YPN International asap. Because
    1) Google needs cutting down to size
    2) We are getting impatient.

    ;)
