In another post I mentioned how I was slowly switching more sites back to AdSense from YPN, what seems to be the reason is the CTR. I believe my ad relevancy as related to the sites content is so horrible with ypn, that it causes a very low ctr. Average CTR with AdSence is 9.12% Average CTR with YPN is 0.4% quite a huge difference.........
how many ad units? adsense counts each page load as 1 impression, regardless of how many ad units on the page. ypn counts each ad unit per page load. so if you have 3 ad units on your page, thats 3 ad impressions per page load. this makes a huge difference in ctr considerations. while i would think that because of better targetting, adsense would generally have a higher ctr, if you compare ypn's (adsense way of ctr) you might find them closer than you think.
That is a HUGE CTR with adsense! Were the ads in the exact same places? Were they the same in terms of color etc?
yes the adsense and ypn ads are are the same locations and I use the same color schemes. The only difference that I see is, the AdSense ads are all almost 99% targeted pertaining to the pages content, where the ypn ads are maybe 30% relevant on a good page. The ypn targeting or relevancy is just horrible for my sites anyway, compared to AdSense.
i would still love to know how many ypn ads you are displaying, to get an idea of your actual ctr compared to adsense.
Which clicks earn you more money? I mean your getting 20 times as many clicks with adsense so unless they are crappy ads it doesnt make sense to use YPN unless of course the YPN clicks are earning you 20+ times the adsense.
I rarely ever see CTR's above 0.5% with YPN. I really wish I could get an AdSense account, because I know that my CTR would jump up a HUGE amount.
I love it when my page shows used car dealers in Dallas, TX when most of my traffic is from over seas and my website has absolutely nothing to do with cars.
