Hi there, I just got a call from YPN. They are holding a focus group in my area in August. I am going to attend. What types of improvements who you most like me to bring up at the focus group? Also, if you are going to attend the focus group held in San Francisco, we can grab a cup of coffee and chat. Send me a PM. When I agreed to do it, I was told YPN is paying a $200 per diem (An allowance for daily expenses). I would have done it for free, seriously. Cheers, krjewellers
I live in Bay Area (commute to SF everyday). I haven't got call yet, but it would be interesting. I hope they call me
I got a call today for a focus group taking place in the L.A. area in mid August. I would have gone, but I am going to be out of town while it was taking place. Too bad.
Here is my idea: Before YPN opens to the public, they should allow the beta users to send out referrals, so people can signup before they open up. Then the beta user that referred the person could make a percentage of what they made. So, I refer someone, they get in before it opens, and I get money when they make money! An example - Google pays 100% of what the referral made, such as if the person that they referred makes $100, the person that referred makes $100 (thats how google operates) What you guys think?
i think that sounds greedy...LOL....but would be cool. They already know there is going to be a surge of signup once they go public. Look at this forum...every other day there seems to be a new thread of buying someone's ypn account or asking when it's going public.
A few problems with that scenario. First, people would sell those referrals. Second, if you make a % of earnings based on those referrals, you'd get the same complete spam situation that happened when Chitika did the same thing.
I only have 3 issues with YPN nad one has alreayd been mentioned (ad targetting). The other 2 are: 1) PLEASE please please implement IMAGE ads. 2) Watching the daily total number go up is fun but I seriously need to be able see what's going on by Reporting Category. It's really hard to do trial and error ad placement on a specific site when I have to wait up to 24 hours for results. I know this isn't what they want to hear but if I could sum up everything I want from YPN in one sentence it would be, "Be more like Adsense..".
