i am down again today, yesterday i showed lower: ad unit impressions clicks CTR CPM Average CPC which made revenue down over 65% for yesterday. i checked against my website stats and traffic was not down from the day before. this appears to be a YPN issue - i hope to god it is only temporary and we are not getting the Yahoo version of smart-pricing?
Good for you! you have the option to go back. There is no point in staying with YPN unless you don't have any other option.
I've been down for around 20 days so far, also on Adsense for the last 20 days again really, really poor!
Ya I made the switch back to Adsense earlier. Will be testing my sites out here. So far it doesn't look like the earnings will be as high (as the YPN from 1 month ago), but will be higher than what I've seen from YPN the last 2 days.
I am getting 50cent clicks and good CPM not sure what is up with your accounts... Seems to happen on a monthly basis, problems.....
Well stats are not up as GREAT right now, but A LOT better than yesterday. Today is already more than all of yesterday and it's only updated as of 10am. And it's in the $xx not talking about just $1 or $2.
I emailed and called YPN support. I told rep on phone the issue and he told me he would call me back. He did say that fact that my sites traffic is normal but YPN impressions are less might indicate something on their end - but I haven't got a call back yet. Here is the standard, not helpful, no specific information canned email I got back: ````````````````````````````````````````````````` This responds to your question about the reporting. Our technical department did not report an issue about this so far. The change in earnings is most likely due to the Quality-Based Pricing. Quality-based pricing is our means of determining the quality of our publisher?s traffic when an advertiser is charged for a click from that source. Depending on the quality of the traffic from the publisher where the click came from, the cost of the click to the advertiser can be automatically discounted by a certain percentage. Quality-based pricing will assess the quality of the traffic that you deliver to our advertisers and will adjust the cost, and the amount we pay you, based on the value of the leads you drive to our advertisers. Quality-based pricing adjustments will be done at the account level. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance. ````````````````````````````````````````````````` My suggestion is to call and email and try to get their tech people on to this issue. I am down 50% so far today and expect to be more by the end of the day.
Guys guys calm down, I am sure yahoo is just pranking yall because its friday the 13th. Well um j/k, but this is a big prob for yahoo! alot of people are angry right now.
Don't call too many times - They will ask you to leave. happened to a friend. He has a site for kids. Math and games, languages etc site. He complained that the ads are for Gay and adult etc. They asked for Screen shots and he provided them. BAM: They said he can join them again after they get out of Beta. He got paid for the months he earned, but has to stop using YPN. Unless you have a backup plan don't call and complain. Just an FYI
Are you for real? I have called many times and they have always been willing to talk. That sounds a bit hard to believe???
I have to agree with Greengflag. This is a Beta program the only reason they have Beta programs is to get feedback!! Everytime I have called them, they have been real helpful and have called back in some cases when needed. Dunno.. But I do know my earnings are back up today not to where they were last month but about 25% more then from the beggining of the month! Darrell
He he he ... I used YPN for exactly one day and switched back to AdSense .... should I say anything more than that ? Cheers, Venetsian
Yesterday = Terrible - 1/4 of normal for Thursday. I agree that something is severely broken at YPN. If this is the so-called "ypnsmartpricing", it will certainly hasten YPN's demise. Poor targeting, which results in a CTR 1/10 of Adsense, and now vaporizing payout - who will stay? I would like to give you more info, but the reports are broken AGAIN, and will not show daily totals. Half the time, I get one total (for daily totals), and the other half, "Report is not available at this time." So what else is new? . <edit>Another thought. Maybe the reporting is broken on purpose. Why document and display your own lack of performance? If I worked at YPN, I would not want to show the problems. Breaking the reports makes sense. How long have they had to get the reports working properly? C'mon.</edit>
I'm at $0. I pulled Yahoo's crap. I don't like the stats system, I don't like the stock and I think the company needs to figure out what it's doing. Go Google! (symbol: Goog) Easy money. Keep pumping AdSense please.
WOW THAT's IT? My avg CPC is lower than that.. and today it went down to below 30 cents. consider yourself lucky.
Oh, usually I get dozen of 0.10 clicks as well, but I've seen in the past some $3 clicks that since July are probably gone for good....
I was still down 65% yesterday - I hope this is temporary. But if they are following google's model, it is to be expected. Anyone remeber the high CPM days in the lates 90's? They rocked!
