Hello guys, I have a couple questions: How do you target Yahoo Ads to only appear to visitors from USA? I run a video sharing site like Youtube, which one works better, YPN or Adsense? Youtube uses Adsense. That is it, please share your opinion on this thread. Thanks a lot.
If you currently have a YPN account, I would email Yahoo and ask them if ads are allowed to be placed on pages that only contain video content and not contextual. - I'm not sure what Yahoo's stance on that is. Most people use 3rd party scripts that have some type of geo-locating in them. - Compu
See, that is very iffy (is why I would email Yahoo) because most of the content would be inside the video and the description wouldn't make a large stand on "textual" targeting for Yahoo to use. But if your visitors are mostly US based and convert well, I bet yahoo would slide on it. - Compu
How's YPN doing for your site chatsusa.com? U used Adsense there before? How are the earnings compared?
Stop asking dumb questions. There are thosands of answers in this forum regarding ypn vs adsense. Youtube uses Adsense because they are owned by Google. YPN's ad targeting is extremly poor. As a result your CTR will suffer. Google on the other hand has excellent relevence and great CTR, but a lower RPC (revenue per click). Use the search feature here, it will provide everything you want to know and more.
I already searched the forum and it seems that the other threads are very old. Come on, chill out. You don't own this forum mate. What a douche~
You're the douche my friend. I simply recommended you search this forum prior to asking the same question that has been asked here over 100x. It is very easy to geo-target ads. There are many topics in this forum that talk about how to do so with many programs and code snippets. There are also many threads on this forum discussing yahoo vs adsense.
This is how I geotargeted my Ypn ads If anyone outside of USA goes to Blitzgamer (Last link in signature) can you tell me if its working and you see Adsense and not Ypn! Thanks a bunch! Regards, Zack
Dang that worked! I tried using proxy to browse your site and it changes from YPN to Adsense. Awesome! I really appreciate your help unlike certain people in this forum who are so self-centered.
You can also use phpadsnew. IMO it will easier to manage and the caching is much better in phpadsnew.
