We have a site that deals with x-box 360 games, ps3 games, systems, etc.. Are a member of YPN, but unable to target our ads where they show actual related xbox games, ps3 games, game systems, etc..

Does anyone have this figured out yet? I am sure its a low paying catagory, but we are not interested in high paying clicks.. just want to show content related to the site.

If we leave the ads with no targeting at all it displays RON ads, and mixed content. Maybe 1 out of 4 ads will be correct, but never a full set of related ads.

Am i missing something but it seems to me the catagory for this should be
--- Electronics and Appliances > Consumer Electronics

Which we tried,.. but no luck.

    Anyone??

either ypn isnt picking up your content kw's from their contextual engine or there is a shortage of advertisers for whatever kw's the contextual engine is picking up and displaying ads for. if you get 1 out of 4 ads correct, i would think the latter. getting ypn to pick up your content and display the ads you want is difficult. you will have to play with your content / kw's to try and pull the relevant ads, should they exist.

your category of consumer electonics (general) and will contain advertisers from a wide variety that fit that category, not necessarily xbox or relating to your site. when you use ad targetting, you are bypassing any contextual targetting (as far as im aware).

YPN ad targeting in general is extremely poor for game related sites in my experience. You have better luck with home finance, computers and stuff.
