i've tried applying for YPN long time ago, still no word, tried it again and again no word.. is this suppose to be like that or am I missing something?
they probuably havnt gotten to your application. like you, so many people submit and resubmit and keep on resubmitting. however, ypn isnt accepting new publishers in any mass quantity. and just think, your application must be a drop in the ocean of applications waiting to be reviewed by the multitude of webmasters waiting to get in. they probuably only go through the applications when they are actually looking to accept a limited batch of new publishers, which is becoming ever less frequent. i definately wouldnt hold my breath for a response or an invitation. just a thought
thats not true. they do accept. but very very limited. my point was that its more likely that the publishers they do accept are actually very old applications that have been waiting in the que. but i could be wrong, what do i know? im guessing just like the rest of us. there are a few people on this forum that just recently got accepted. i would be interested in knowing how long they waited before their invites came.
I was wondering this too. Shouldn't you at least get a "hey thanks for applying" automated email so you at least know they received something on their end? I filled out the form and received NOTHING. It would be nice to get something that at least said "we got it, but your chances of getting in are worse than winning the lottery, good luck!"
once they decline your application you will get an automated rejection email. but, first they have to get to your application and decline it. this is the reason i believe they only go through the apps periodically and it takes so long for people to get a response.
that makes absolutely no sense to me what-so-ever! i mean i understand that doing very limited amount of applications, but that's stupid! i wouldn't want to place my ad on YPN because of that.. why bother paying them, when your advertisement would be so hard to publish by publishers? and our of all publishers that they have even smaller number of publishers will actually publish your advertisement for various of reasons... so why not expand your network? (while there is a demand) it's like, same with CJ, some advertisers won't approve you, why? no apparent reason, i mean if i were an advertiser i wouldn't care what kind of site you have or don't have ... maybe you'd do it under yourdomain.com/myadvertsment ... who cares? as long as they bring or even try bringing me a client I'm good...
I don't bother anymore, I applied once and never got a reply, so what ever. Also, seeing as gmail is still in "beta", that isn't saying much. But I know that yahoo really is in a beta stage where as google just uses it to look cool.
