I know this is a blatant TOS violation: Powerofpixels[dot]com Site above has both YPN and AdSense on the homepage. Wondering if it is most ethical of me as a webmaster to report them or if I should let it be (especially since its a pixel site and I thought that market was dead). So, should I or shouldn't I? (and how would I report to YPN if I did? I already know Google).
lol Now I got the pixel page. And I see both YPN Ads and Google Adsense Ads together on same page. Please care for webmaster and warn them(try contact details from domain whois). If no success in 2-3 days, go ahead, notify Google and YPN.
Let it be...Why do you want to report it to...Though it is unethical to put up both ads on the same page, disturbing someone's earnings is also unethical...Better is u can contact the website owner and tell him to remove...
Update: Just received a reply from the guy, who seems real nice. He said he will contact his scripter and modify that in a day or two. I think he didn't know that this was not right.
Cool Lordo. I was certainly going to do that as recommended by Gurpartarp once this post ran dry. I do think its best to give the webmaster fair warnings. New webmasters often overlook the TOS and look directly for revenue methods, so it was very possible he just didn't know. I know I'd appreciate it if someone warned me of my TOS violations. Nevertheless, this thread has still been very interesting to see what people are thinking. And the poll results are interesting too. It has been quite the experiment by example.
I have to agree fair warnings are the way to go. Most every webmaster I have contacted have quickly changed the content to conform to the policies. Many of those webmaster have written to say thanks. I also tell them about forums like this in those e-mails. Out of contact with over 14 webmasters only 2 did not make changes and both of those guys/girls returned a nasty e-mail saying something like "who are you to tell me how to run my website." Let me tell you it makes it 100 times easier to report a JERK who blatantly thinks he is above the rules. Unless you are a lawyer you are not going to catch every bit of the TOS. And the way Google has rules scattered all over. Last count was 2(TOS and program policies) different documents and a searchable knowledgebase that you have to read to get all the RULES. To tell you the truth if it were not for forums like digital point and folks from google like adsenseadvisor. I would not know the Rules I know now. Since the only thing I agreed to(TOS) when signing up for Google Adsense did not contain EVERYTHING.
