There should not be an issue. We have many publishers using both AdBrite and YPN.

    Ask this question....

If I was an advertiser and I liked your site and emailed you to buy a text link on your site for a day/week/month, etc, then you told me a price...say $50 for a week, and I sent you money via paypal. Isn't that allowed? AdBrite is an automated way to do this. AdBrite is a tool/system allowing publishers the ability to sell their own ads. This is a reason why we have never had an issue working with other networks such as AdSense.

I would love to help out with details regarding this.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    chris,

you should contact ypn and have this clarified or worked out. maybe they can put something on their blog. i know alot of ypn publishers that want to use adbrite on their sites but are not willing to risk their ypn account on shaky grounds.

You are more than welcome to use AdBrite as long as YPN is not being displayed on the same page. If you are able to make more money with AdBrite but need yahoo to backup "unused" impressions - then you are good to go.

But, you are not able to place AdBrite and Yahoo ads on the same page at the same time. That is part of their "no other contextual advertisers displayed with yahoo ads" rule.

*It is a good idea to email Yahoo and ask as well.*

Yes Agreed, I will try to get something in writing, but we are not contextual at all!!!

We don't scan the page, and thus our text ads are not contextual to your content.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Chris is correct. The exclusivity provision in the YPN TOS relates only to other ads that are contextually targetted. Since Adbrite does not crawl the page it is placed on but merely runs static text ads it does not fall under the contextually targetted restriction set by Yahoo. It is very easily interpreted from the TOS, I'm not sure why Yahoo people would be saying it is not allowed unless they simply don't understand the Adbrite service.

As for Kontera... use of this service on a page with YPN is not allowed because Kontera does target their ads contextually.

"Exclusivity. For any webpage or RSS feed that includes the Ad Code, you agree not to display or link to any other advertising (including but not limited to any listing) that is mapped to or responds to the content of the Ad Page."

Is there a lawyer in the house? LOL!

    No reply from yahoo yet?
