Hi there. I'm using the following code:

But the "ads by yahoo" phrase just wont come out. Anybody see anything wrong inside the code? Some of the custom color pelette of mine have this problem too. Need some advice.

If you cant see any problem inside, can you please try this code out with your YPN id? Thanks!

    I believe it's a glitch...from what others have said.

Will yahoo suspend you if the "Ads by Yahoo" is almost invisible? What if you didn't intentionally make it invisible?

I think if you're having that glitch and no matter what you do, you can't get Ads by Yahoo to show up....call them and tell them that.

    Hi ashiezai,

Have a look at this thread - I think the phrase is there but it looks like the background.

This is directly from this page: https://publisher.yahoo.com/legal/prog_policy.php

They do not want you removing or obscuring the "Ads by Yahoo!". Bad idea on your part if you do somehow succeed.

no ... im just trying to blend the ads with my background .. it was just an unintentional try.

What's wrong with that. It's yahoo's problem and not mine. Everyone is trying to blend their ads with background just as they would do with adsense.

Ok I thought this was what you meant. Because blending is one thing, but they do not want you to completely try and remove the ads by yahoo advertisement. This is their promotion and also keeps it honest for their advertisers to a point.

    Think of it this way:

You are a webmaster and want more clicks and you do this. You start making alot more money because your ads are blended in such a way that your visitors have no idea that these are outside ads they are clicking on.

Now this can have a negative effect on your site because maybe the visitor did not want to leave your site and now views your site as deceptive because you looked at the short term money gain and deceived them into clicking an ad.

Now think if you are the advertiser and this same visitor and many others like them click on your ad and you receive alot of traffic that you are paying a high dollar amount for and these people were not even looking for your service, but rather were thinking that they were clicking another link in the site to get more information on a topic they were studying. The advertiser has now been put on the hook for advertising dollars that should not have been paid out.

While as the webmaster it is nice, but eventually someone does check your site and you get banned for doing something like this. Is this really worth it to you as the webmaster for a short term gain.

Blending of ads makes it more eye appealing to the visitor and keeps the ads from looking completely out of place. The "Ads by Yahoo" is sort of the checks and balances of the whole thing. Get rid of them to a point where people do not understand what they are clicking on and you will eventually pay the ultimate long term price.

Even when blending you want to try and let your visitors have a choice whether they click or not. Blending is not intended to deceive your visitors.

You should realize that there is a bug in the YPN code that will show the Ads By Yahoo text as white when you set the background something other than white, even if its off-white. This is YPN's fault so you aren't going to get kicked out because of their bug.

That is true, but if you are trying to remove the code on your own you can expect to be removed from the program. Maybe not today, but as soon as they find out that you are trying to mask their promotional tag they are going to send you a letter.
