YPN Ad Targeting is Pathetic, Any news for improvement?

In small niches, the YPN targeting is horrid.

What makes me most upset is that I've been accepted into the program and have the ability to get all the perks of high paying clicks, yet no one ends up clicking because they know well enough not to click on "Mortgage" ads.

I know i'm not alone, but...

Has there been any news in helping with targeting? I've tried to filter those crap ads out, but still, it seems like people don't seem to be as accustom to advertising with Yahoo.

Back to .03 clicks and Adsense.

I think I've heard reports of people calling their rep to tweak the ads

the problem is that this has been happening since mid-december. YPN knows about it, yet they continue to do nothing about it...I soon will return to adsense if nothing changes.

I've seen Yahoo ads that seem to be very well targeted on other websites, but mine don't seem to be. I have a website about shopping where I was getting 20 % CTR and being smart priced to almost nothing, so I'm taking a break and trying YPN ads..... not a high volume site, but so far out of 60 page views, not one click with only change switching Yahoo ads for Google. Looking at the Yahoo ads, I can't see why anyone would want to click on them ... and they are not. Maybe this isn't the site for Yahoo.... have seen other sites where targeting is great.

I started slowly phasing them out on all my sites back on the 5th.

This is my livlihood and they seem to be taking it as a joke. They're just not worth the hassle or more importantly the risk...

Use the ad targeting feature. It's very effective if you can find a category that fits your site's theme.

It seems yahoo and google are fighting it out to see who can piss off the most publishers rather than competing to make them happy and steal them away. Though of course the advertisers need to be happy first or there is nothing to fight over. Just sucks the publishers always seem to get shafted.

And yeah, I have to agree, it does suck when people take other peoples livelihood as a joke. You would think that it being such a small world that more people would want to take care of each other rather than screw them. At least there is the hope of karma I guess lol.
