Pretty cool video here about the 4 reasons why videos go viral. http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/en/kevin_allocca_why_videos_go_viral.html I'll do most of the work for you: Participation - get people to contribute and allow them to feel involved Taste Makers - target high influence people, and get them to talk about your video Unexpectedness - gotta break those expectations and give them something they don't expect to see. You have to be different to stand out the final reason is in the vid and it's definitely worth watching.
Its all about finding trending videos that are about to go viral and making response vids. I am building a site around this idea and have had a lot of success in the area already.. 25,000 views in a day from a response. The key to that strategy is identifying the viral video trends before they are super popular... like when they stop it at 300 hits and you see 1000+ likes. Anyways, now that anyone can monetize their videos, this is a whole new market! I'll be developing the API feeds and keep perfecting things, but the site will eventually allow users to upload videos to multiple sites..
Nice tip and here is a FREE Viral Marketing report you can get to learn more viral marketing secrets.
Your site looks pretty spammy.. you have a 90% image site that has no functionality and is completely useless as an addition to the internet.. Dont troll my good advice with your inadequate garbage!
AMAZING vid. very informative. Usually virility comes from the most unexpected directions. You see a short vid that has no content but it has 300,000,000 views - HOW?! Like the Nyan cat, dramatic hamster, all those. You never know what's gonna hit the goal, so it's better to never stop trying
These days, the revenue share adds up to about $1 per 1000 views, so making a viral video is lucrative.. A lot of the elements in a viral video can be singled out, but overall it takes something special to make it go "Viral" I have a site that tracks viral trending videos, twitter hash tags, and google search words in order to predict things trending that way before they are popular.
As of now, I haven't used video for driving traffic but I am thinking of using videos also as it is getting more effective today.
