    Can you monetize your YouTube videos with adsense? I've heard that you can but have never looked into it.

    Furthermore.... I have a video on youtube that gets 6500 views daily.... however someone else has claimed copyright of the video... can I still monetize it given this?

    Thanks to anyone who can let me know what the deal is.

    no, you can't earn using that particular video as you don't have the rights of it.

    You must apply, or be asked to become a YouTube partner. Unless you are a partner, you may not have ads on your videos. Check the partner help section of the YouTube help categories to find out more

    Yes you can monetize your youtube video with adsense but you should avoid that video that has been claimed.

    You can monetize videos on YouTube if you own the rights to the video
    and everything in it.

    You also need to get a "video partnership" for that specific video or a full
    partnership for all of your videos.

    if you need further information.

    But as I said, make sure that the video is YOURS or you will never be able to use AdSense on your videos.

    officially telling , one can put ads on the video, which acts as popups when video is playing, but you cannot put the ads on the page that is given to you from youtube.
