For the past 2 days or so, youtube has been painfully slow to load for me, particularly when I click on any random video. Has anyone else experienced this? I've been talking to a few buddies of mine and they can all confirm this as well. in fact, youtube wants to freeze up and sometimes crash firefox. Can anyone else shed some light into this? It seems to be intermittent, at best.

There's no problem here. It must be your system.

Sometimes, they too have high server load.
So, with that being the reason, it affect the speed of their server.

Maybe it's your ISP? Youtube works fine by me.

Being one of the most visited websites on the internet i think it would be a problem on your side.

    It works fine here.

It's probably something wrong with your computer... Try reinstalling the Flash player.

You can try two of the following options...
    1. Contact your ISP
    2. Check you system for the presence of adware / spyware / malware
