Ever since google bought Youtube it has done wonders for my clients website's SEO. A youtube video is automatically added to the google search engine for one, now they pop up in business listings on google maps, and even without bringing up info on the listing if you tag the location correctly. Youtube videos are usually way high on the search engine list and a lot of people would prefer to just watch a video if they can. Plus youtube, like a website, has no placement costs. Unlike a clients website it can have very high potential to go viral if done correctly; here's a great example of a video that doesn't sell the product but intrigues and maybe even confuses enough that you go to the website. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GM2UnzfV3FE We're going to see video come standard on more and more websites. I'm making a big push to put it on youtube for the google SEO advantages - thoughts?
The "Bring Tim" banner at the bottom should to go away after a few seconds. If you become a youtube partner, and submit your videos for revenue sharing, your banner is going to be overlayed with an adsense banner. And after the first few seconds, people are not going to look at it anyway. I used to overlay my videos with a watermark. But, it just seems more professional to have the name at the start and end of the video. You dont see Steven Spielberg watermarking the entire length of his movies. Why didnt you include a link in the video description to the website or product? I like where the guy sits on the table and knocks the device off. You have been a member of youtube for 2 years, but only have 30 videos? What have you been doing in the last 24 months? I have over 300 videos on my profile, over 8,557 subscribers and I joined in April of 2007 as well. If you want to give your customers videos more views, get more subscribers. Its not enough to just publish a video. You need to be able to give your customers a few thousand views in just a couple of days.
Thanks for the advice, I've been a member for a while but just recently started using it to market in the last couple of months. Building up subscribers is... challenging, I don't have a lot of time and energy to be so involved in the Youtube community. I'm working on it though.
